“No, but Quin, if you need me, you know exactly where I am,” said Helena, her eyes fluttering in desire as Paige teased her from behind.
“Play, go, away. Spencer is here already, and she can help me with sound check. Daisy is milling around here somewhere, unless she found someone to play with her in those rooms up there…,” grumbled Quin, having seen Daisy checking out Spencer, yet again.
“Boo,” said Spencer from behind Quin, “…heard you saying my name.”
“Where were you?” asked Quin, now standing at the soundboard, at the far side of the small but very adequate stage.
“Out back,” said Spencer softly, not adding that she’d been avoiding Daisy, who seemed very hot on the idea of testing out the glass encased rooms two floors up. “You ready for this?”
“Yeah, this is where I excel,” said Quin. “But I have to admit, I like the new acting gig too.”
“I don’t know. Should we even play Aura at all?” asked Spencer, feeling jumpy about performing, the very stripped down, version of her song. It was already gathering radio play on small college stations. Spencer had also had a fight with Riley and it was putting her in the wrong mood to sing this song.
“Are you kidding?” asked Quin. “That’s the song that wraps up the whole night, Spencer, it’s the final song, and it’s the best song, it’s The song.”
Spencer nodded, “You know when Shane is arriving?”
“Shane?” asked Quin, not sure why in the world Spencer would want to see Shane. “Why?”
Spencer adjusted her baseball hat, “Just asking, there’s something I want to do before we go onstage.”
“I’ll tell her to find you when she gets here. We’re all in the same hotel anyway…”
“Yeah, Megan is out back, I’ll go get her, and we’ll start the sound check,” said the teenager, leaving the rest of the conversation hanging.
Quin watched her silently walk away, not sure what might be bothering Spencer, but the young woman was much more pensive than normal.

How could you leave it with Tina and Bette just disappearing.I hope at least they went to bed together and not to sleep.
That was beautifully done now where have our girls scampered off to, hopefully to start taking that next chance and see where it takes them.
that was great I just hope that u have at least one or two more chapters for this as I feel that there is stll a bit more to write about if so please soon if not what a great story I have love every part of it thank you so much for writing it

well, well Janet…who would have figured you for such a soft, sweet romantic?? Loved the chapter, definitely worth the wait, as always!! Had to read it twice to fully savor your brilliance. The songs were perfectly woven through the story. Love is certainly in the air… looks like a mad dash to the alter for the lovely couples. Fun to see Ro back for Alice. Also loved the appearance of alpha Tina…so hot… but can’t believe you actually left off where you did! pout…Tease! Can’t wait for the next chapter. Have a good week.

Damn, Janet. That was really good. So much going on, and Spencer’s lyrics weaving in and out amongst it all. Shane and Lara are really just… I love em. They’re cute, they’re funny, they’re sexy… It’s a winner all round. And they’ve already moved into that old wise and married stage, and like, faster than a speeding bullet! …Al & Ro! They took way longer to break up than they did to make up, but marriage? The heart wants what it wants, and they’ve got it. Good on em, I say! Bette… I wish Kit was there to see her sister making it. Seems like B & T are meant to be… but we’ll see, shall we? I’m still waiting for that sackful of pennies to drop. The optimist in me sees everything working out, though.
