    Chapter 32

    “I love you Bette”

    “Get dressed babe.. and let’s get out of here”

    Bette looked down at herself still clad in the ultra chic paper gown and back up at Tina. Laughter erupted from both room. Bette leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on Tina’s lips. Both of them silently thinking to themselves ‘This is what dreams are made of’

    Tina sat at her desk in the office that was once in her house. Reflecting on the past weeks. She and the girls had moved into Bette’s house permanently and they had been in contact with some contractors about an addition to the house. Everything was falling into place, they kids were starting to have the occasional sibling fight, which strangely enough always seemed to feel like music to her ears. Bette had returned to work part time at the gallery, and they had settled into a real family routine. Running to art classes, dance classes, and sports practices could be hectic at times, but it was a joy. She had come to throughly her weekly trip to the park with Colin, who quickly became her main man. Everything about her relationship and family was more than she could have asked for. She relished in every moment, even the less than perfect ones because they just proved to her that it was not a wonderful dream that she was going to wake up from. There was only one thing missing she had not been able to share her happiness with her long time friend. She had tried to call but the weeks had turned into a giant game of phone tag. She reached for the phone and hit the speed dial to call Shane.

    “Hey Tina”

    “Oh my god Shane is that really you?”

    “Yeah it’s really me… how the heck have you been?”

    “I am absolutely amazing Shane… So much has happened” Tina heard a flight announcement in the background. “Where are you?”

    “I just landed at LAX… the movie finally wrapped and I couldn’t wait to get back home.”

    2. Hey TB513, Thank you for this interesting chapter. Yes, it was great to have Shane introduced into this tender tale. Sweet to have her as Tina’s friend first. My thoughts were she was Alice’s friend first then Bette and Tina’s. No worries, although Bette should have called. Doesn’t she have a hands-free set up in her car. If not then Tee needs to sort it out and sort it out soon. Now can’t wait for Bette and Shane to meet. It will either be like lost friends uniting or pistols at dawn. Please continue soon. Your Fan.

    4. That last scene was so heart warming, it’s a great feeling when you have a significant one to come home to, someone who cares about you that much “sigh” .
