    Forever Friends Ch. 23

Shane nodded.  “Uh huh.  She doesn’t understand the dreams and they are starting to scare her.  She’s beginning to wonder if they are premonitions because she thinks she’s losing you in the dreams.”  When Alice’s mouth dropped Shane knew she better explain.  “Before you flip, she has only talked to me a bit about them.  Remember I’m Yoda, I figured out what the dreams meant on my own, but I haven’t told her because the dreams have to do with you not me.  She doesn’t know what happened in the hospital and she’s afraid she is going to eventually lose you because of everything.  Knowing Dana, she’s really going to start believing the shit soon and start pushing you away thinking if she pushes you away it won’t hurt as much when you leave.  So you need to talk to her.”

“I don’t know that I can Shane.  She’s going to get pissed when I tell her I got into it with Lara and cussed her out.  And…and…what if she…”  Alice took a deep breath trying to keep control.  “What if she wants to see Lara and be with her?  I’m not sure I can handle that.”

“Don’t worry about it.”  Alice raised her eye brows at Shane.  Shane started to laugh at Alice’s reaction.  “Just be honest with her and everything will be okay.”

    “But…”

“No buts…I’m Yoda, I’m wise, the words I speak you listen to.”  Shane gave her traditional Yoda grin.  “Now really I do need to get going.  Besides Dana’s going to wonder what we are doing if you don’t get back in there.”  Shane hugged Alice again and walked out the door.  Alice locked the door, grabbed Dana’s medicine and a bottle of water from the kitchen and went back to Dana’s room.

“Hey!”  Dana smiled at Alice as she walked into the bedroom.

Walking to the bed Alice put the water and pills on the nightstand.  “I brought your medicine.”

“Thank you.”  Dana sat up and took the pills then laid back down and holding Alice’s hand again.

Alice watched Dana shake as another cold chill past through her.  “Is the dream still bothering you?”  Dana shook her head.  Alice took a deep breath and let it out slowly.  “Dane, I think we should talk…”

    1. Cougar, 5 months ago there was a Danish fanfic drought. At that time, I was a silence reader and tried to rally the writers and promised to comment as long as they write to show my support. I am just doing my lit†le part to keep Danish alive and I am more than happy to do it. I used to have a piece of jewelry which was given to me by someone who was very dear to me. For years, I wore it and would not take it off. i could totally understand the rationale. FYI, S5E1 is still showing on ourchart.com. Back to this chapter, S ruled. The whole Yoda speech was great and necessary to knock some sense into A. I really wish they could open up and speak honestly. It must be so difficult for A to care for D with all the unresolved feelings. But i am sure that you will take good care of them. Thank you and pps.

    2. Hey just caught up your story and i think ur doing a great job, its so touching and emotional with drama, angst and comedy all wrapped in. The way you have Alice and Dana with each other is so sweet, you reli show there love well. Cant wait to see what happens next and hope you continue. :) PPS. x x

    3. Excellent update, cougar! So glad that Dana’s problem is not more serious — although I guess everything is serious when you are in the weakened state she is in. Love the touches of humor about Alice’s driving. Shane is smarter than I am. I didn’t realize what the dreams were. I hope the talk between the girls goes OK. Thanks and PPS!
