Forever Friends Ch. 23
Shane and Alice both became silent and turned and stared at the baby monitor when they heard Dana.
“Mmm…stop…please stop…STOP!” Dana yelled. Alice jumped up and sprinted down the hall into Dana’s room. Shane was a few steps behind her, surprised at how fast Alice got to Dana’s side. Dana was curled up in a fetal position holding her necklace when Alice reached the bed.
Alice rubbed Dana’s shoulder to wake her. “Dana…Dane…it’s me. It’s okay, everything is okay.” Dana woke up and quickly reached for Alice’s hand. “It’s okay. You were just having a bad dream.”
“But it seemed so real. You…you were arguing with someone again. At first I thought you were arguing with me until I heard another voice. Then I think you were arguing with them about me, but you wouldn’t stop when I asked you to. It was like I was watching the argument, but at the same time I wasn’t there. It just seemed so real and you were so upset and I couldn’t do anything.” Dana shook from a cold chill she got thinking about the dream.
“I’m going to get out of here. Carmen is probably wondering where I am.” Shane spoke softly. Dana jumped again, not realizing Shane was in the room and surprised when she heard her voice. “Dane I brought your medicine over. Try to get some rest and I will come by to see you tomorrow. Call me if you need anything.” Shane walked over to her and gave Dana a kiss on the top of her head before turning to leave.
“I am going to walk her out and I will be right back. Okay?” Alice asked as she started to stand. Dana shook her head and watched the two of them leave the room and walk down the hall.
“Thanks for coming by and bringing that stuff over Shane.”
“No problem.” Shane reached for the front door and stopped. She turned to face Alice. “I think you need to talk to her about what happened in the hospital.” Alice was taken back at Shane’s statement. “Al that’s not the first nightmare she’s had since the coma. She’s told me bits about another one she had.”
“Okay, but what does that have to do with what happened while she was in the coma?” Alice was confused.

Cougar, 5 months ago there was a Danish fanfic drought. At that time, I was a silence reader and tried to rally the writers and promised to comment as long as they write to show my support. I am just doing my lit†le part to keep Danish alive and I am more than happy to do it. I used to have a piece of jewelry which was given to me by someone who was very dear to me. For years, I wore it and would not take it off. i could totally understand the rationale. FYI, S5E1 is still showing on ourchart.com. Back to this chapter, S ruled. The whole Yoda speech was great and necessary to knock some sense into A. I really wish they could open up and speak honestly. It must be so difficult for A to care for D with all the unresolved feelings. But i am sure that you will take good care of them. Thank you and pps.
Pretty frickin amazing!
wat a ch…time for bed..i will read more later
nice long chapter there..hmm can’t wait for the lara discussion love the tension when her name pops up lol pps :)
Hey just caught up your story and i think ur doing a great job, its so touching and emotional with drama, angst and comedy all wrapped in. The way you have Alice and Dana with each other is so sweet, you reli show there love well. Cant wait to see what happens next and hope you continue. :) PPS. x x
Shane’s using good psychology in this. Interpreting dreams and giving Alice direction. Go for it.
Excellent update, cougar! So glad that Dana’s problem is not more serious — although I guess everything is serious when you are in the weakened state she is in. Love the touches of humor about Alice’s driving. Shane is smarter than I am. I didn’t realize what the dreams were. I hope the talk between the girls goes OK. Thanks and PPS!
Love the story. Thanks for the long update. It made my day after a long day at work.
Hi, Thank you for this wonderful story, can’t wait to see how Dana is going to take what Alice have to say.
