“I don’t see how that would be possible.” Tina kisses her again as they head to bed.
The next morning Bette is at work even earlier than usual. She is going over all the last minute details for the visitors.
“Hey B!” Shane arrives at work. “Anything I need to do to help you?”
“Nope. I’m just headed down to the cove to put out the repellent and set up the dummy for the rescue demonstration.”
“I’ll go with you.”
“It’s ok Shane, I got it.”
“Humor me. I always watch your back when you go in the water.”
“Ok, ok. Geez between you and Tina, I’m going to get paranoid about getting in the water.” They pick up all the items Bette had laid out and head for the cove.
An little while later, Shane and Bette return to their offices.
“Ok we have about an hour before they arrive. Breakfast Shane?”
“Sure. Let’s eat.”
They grab a bite and return to Bette’s office.
“So how are things with Dana? You haven’t said much.”
“Things are fine. We’re taking it slow.”
“And that is so unlike you. You feeling ok?”
“Yes. I’m fine. Maybe I’m just tired of the playboy image I have. I see you and Tina and you guys always look so happy. You call each other and text each other all the time. And every time you mention her name, you get this smile on your face. Maybe I want to try for that myself.”
“Wow Shane. I never thought you’d ever say those words.”
“You were a player too Bette. Never as good as me, but you were.”
“Yes I was. And I am 100 times happier now than I ever was in those days.”
“I know. I can tell. And I’m happy for you.”
“If there’s anything I can do to help, you’ll let me know right?”
“Yeah. Just keep setting the good example for us to follow.”
“I’ll do my best.”
True to her word, Bette is waiting at the gate with Ryan when the buses arrive.
Tina exits the bus. “Hi Ba, Bette.” Tina puts her hand on Bette’s arm. She turns around. “Hi Ryan. How are you?”

I most sincerely hope that the sharks find jodie and uses her for bait before she removes the shark repellant. Glad Tina’s parents are with her in case something does indeed happen and hopefully she won’t go to pieces with them there for her. Great update. Thanks for posting.
What the hell is Jodi up to, she is a pathetic waste of skin smh…and am I the only one wish I was there on the field trip too. Man!!lol
