“Just fine ma’am.”
“Are we ready?” Bette asks.
“Oh we are. The question is, are you?”
“Let’s go.” Bette escorts Tina back onto the bus.
They drive to the mess hall, where Bette has arranged for the base commander to speak to the group. They unload two buses of student and chaperones. Bette greets Dana, as well as Tina’s parents.
When all the kids are seated, Admiral Walker addresses the group.
“Welcome ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. We are honored to have you spend the day with us here at the base. Throughout the day, you’ll see a helicopter up close and personal, view some of our personnel conducting their training and you’ll join us for lunch back here in this mess hall. You’ll be introduced to many of the fine members of United States Coast Guard who call this their home away from home. But you will not meet a finer officer than your tour guide herself. Lieutenant Commander Porter is one of the most highly decorated rescue swimmers in the history of the coast guard. She has saved more lives than any other rescue swimmer working today and I am extremely proud to have her in my command. I’ll now turn this over to Lieutenant Commander Porter.”
Dana looks over at Tina when Bette is mentioned during the speech. She can see tears in her eyes. Tina looks to her mom and dad and then finally to Bette. She knew that Bette was highly regarded by her colleagues, but she had no idea that Bette was famous throughout all the coast guard. Her heart is bursting with pride and the tears are a result.
Bette steps up to the podium and speaks to the group for a moment.
“Thank you for that introduction, Admiral Walker. I’d like to take a moment to introduce the other people who will be assisting me today. Meet my partner of five years and flight mechanic extraordinaire Shane McCutcheon.”
Shane joins her on the stage. Dana is now smiling and blushes when Shane smiles directly at her. Tina motions to her parents that Shane is Dana’s girlfriend.
Next Bette introduces Tim Haspel to the group and they prepare to head out for the helicopter tour.

I most sincerely hope that the sharks find jodie and uses her for bait before she removes the shark repellant. Glad Tina’s parents are with her in case something does indeed happen and hopefully she won’t go to pieces with them there for her. Great update. Thanks for posting.
What the hell is Jodi up to, she is a pathetic waste of skin smh…and am I the only one wish I was there on the field trip too. Man!!lol
