“About? The food or the company?”

    “Both” Bette said smiling.

“The food is delicious...” Tina said coyly.

    “And?” Bette inquired.

“And I’m still deciding.” Tina added.

“Anything I can do to help?” Bette asked.

“Yes you can answer some questions for me.” Tina said.

Bette thought for a moment. “Some sounds so indefinite, I’ll give you three.”

“What do you do for a living?” Tina asked.

“I’m in advertising. I worked mostly with alcoholic beverages and sports wear.

“Mmmm,” Tina said. “Saving the world one keg party at a time?”

“Something like that” Bette said laughing.

“What about you?” Bette asked her.

“What about me?” Tina asked. Bette just raised her eyebrow. “I work for Composure”

“Fastest growing woman’s magazine in the country.” Bette said smiling.

“I’m impress you don’t seem like one of our readers.”

“Saving the world one shop-a-holic at a time?” Bette said teasingly

“Hi! Now look here sparky. I have a master’s in journalism.
My boss loves me, and if I do it her way for a while I can write about whatever I want.” Tina said.

    “Like shoes?” Bette inquired.

    “No,” Tina said.

    “No?” Bette asked.

“Like alcoholic beverages and sports wear.” Tina said smugly.

Bette laughed and shook her head, “Touche. Very nice.”

Tina looked at her. “You think you got me all figured out?” She asked.

    “Almost.” Bette answered.

“Still got one last question” Tina said.

    “Shoot”

“True or false: all’s fair in love and war.” Tina said looking straight at Bette.

    “True” Bette said smiling.

    “Great answer.” Tina said.

    “Great question.”

“Thank you” Tina reached for her glass.

“Great place” Tina said, walking in to Bette’s apartment. “Very… tidy”

“Thanks” Bette said. “Can I get you a cold beer?” Bette asked.

“Sure, can I use your bathroom?”

“Of course, up the stairs through the bedroom” Tina walked up, talking her bag.
