    Lights, camera and an empty gallery…

    Tina made her way around to the south gallery, she hopped over the roped ‘No Entry’ sign and began to look around, she had noticed the pieces that had new displays, which Bette had been working on that morning when Tina had called her and they’d had their erotic phone conversation, she could tell by looking at the displays that they had Bette’s influence, there was always a certain flair and style very unique about Bette’s work and she loved and admired it, knowing that it was the love of her life that brought these pieces of art completely to life with her displays and lighting.

    Bette switched her monitor back to view the security thumbnails of all areas of the gallery, she glanced down at the floor plans and she caught something moving out the corner of her eye on the monitor, she thought the gallery was empty, but there was obviously somebody down there. She switched to view the individual camera as the person just walked out of view, she quickly switched back to the thumbnails to see where they had gone. She was sitting very upright in her chair waiting for the images to appear, her heart starting beating a little faster, ‘what would she do if it was an intruder?’, ‘what if someone was trying to steal a piece of art’.

    The twelve images flashed up onto her screen as she quickly began to scan each one, slight panic building within her as she furrowed her brow, concentrating on finding the intruder, she couldn’t see any movement when suddenly it once again caught her eye, someone walking into the south gallery. Panic rose in her throat, her heart began pounding, she brought the south gallery camera to full screen, and zoomed on the impostor, just as the imposter turned, the face came onto Bette’s monitor.

    Tina.

    “Holy shit,” Bette sat back in her chair and took a deep breath to calm her pounding heart, she looked up to the ceiling, trying to fathom what she would of done if it had truly been an intruder. She sat back forward and watched Tina on the security monitor, ‘she must of came in when James left’, she moved the camera’s angle, following the woman around the gallery. She switched cameras, so she could watch from a different perspective, watching the animated posture studying the art before her.
