Just The Girl – Chapter Thirty Two (a HYD-inspired fic)
“It looks good on you actually.” Sam admitted with a smile as Shane nodded her head in agreement. “It made you look younger.” She followed up as Alice relaxed a bit on her chair.
“Thank God.” Alice breathed out in relief. Her hair always took so long to grow back and she was already contemplating on wearing a weave everyday till it does.
“So, I take it that Bette wasn’t pleased with the recon stuff that you guys did?” Sam fished as the two groaned in response.
“Do you know if she’s still mad at us?” Alice sighed as the waitress gave them their complimentary breakfast and ordered drinks. She really wasn’t trying to get inside Bette’s bad books when they spied on her and Tina on top of the Ferris wheel. They were just.. concerned.. yeah.. that was it.. for the safety of their friends. No hidden agendas or motives, whatsoever.
Sam shrugged as she cut a small piece from her pancake and stuffed it inside her mouth. “Don’t think she is.” She answered as she chewed on her food thoughtfully. Bette looked far from mad when she paid her a visit yesterday morning. Her best friend was the epitome of happiness when she bragged about the cookies and her new girlfriend.
“Good.” Shane exhaled as she downed her shot. They didn’t have to watch their backs all the time now. Bette can be really be creative in conjuring up elaborate pranks when pissed off. “Speaking of Bette, where is she?” She wiped her mouth with a napkin as she looked around the cafe in search of their leader.
Alice and Sam looked at Shane incredulously as the brunette stared back at them in confusion. “In school with Kennard, duh..” Alice rolled her eyes as she pointed out the obvious. Bette never really joined them for breakfast anymore since she started getting busy with Tina. “I think you need another espresso shot Shaney. Your brain’s still slow.” Alice shook her head to the side as Shane shrugged in response.
“Umm..” Sam spoke up as she traced the edge of her glass with her finger. Since Bette wasn’t here, might as well share the good news with her friends. “They’re officially a couple now.” She slowly said as she looked up and studied her friends’ reactions.

”Bette wasn’t kidding when she said that Melvin was a big jerk.” – Understatement! ;-)
Great Chapter as usual! I can’t believe Melvin would call Tina a slut…how dare he!! Shane, Sam, and Alice were so entertaining. PPS!
Big jerk does not even begin to describe Porter Sr. bet he’s gonna try and get Tina expelled from school or Bette moved out of her class again…Hope Bette takes a major stand! PPS:)
OK, so now Luc will have Tina expelled; money talks(screams)
Loved what Bette did to get Alice & Shane back for spying.. Man, Bette’s dad is gonna make their lives hell-Probably get Tina kicked out of school & her dad loose his jobs!!!
Melvin is about as classless as they come; he proves money can’t buy you just anything in the long run. I have a bad feeling that Bette’s little have Tina fail a test ploy is going to bite Tina by giving the headmistress a reason to expel her when it is demanded by Melvin. I hope F4 crew has a good plan!
B&T is so funny and sweet, love them. Melvin is such a jerk, don’t like him, glad Tina’s dad is stan up to him, love Tina’s dad. Please post more, thanks!
I haven’t been able to comment as much, so I just wanted to say that I’ve loved your past few posts–they were so sweet and funny! So, I hate Bette’s dad, love Tina’s dad and love what Mr. Kennard did to Mr. Porter. I fear what Melvin’s wrath could do to Tina and her dad, but I have faith in Bette and F4 and ASS (haha) to keep them safe. Oh, and I think you should set up some type of timer thing so that a story is posted every two hours or so–that’d be great so if you could start working on that I’d appreciate it! :)
Great chapter. But please don’t let Luc expels Tina please, the good has to win the bad. PPS
I’m surprised Ken didn’t deck Melvin instead of just pouring coffee over him. Thank goodness Bette’s friends are looking out for her and Tina, cos this could get nasty… thanks for the chapter!
Hey I just love dis story, would be great if u could post two or more a day:))Pleasse pretty Please
