After changing into a pair of yoga pants and top, Helena walked through her multi-million dollar beach house barefoot and lonely. In the kitchen, she opened the remaining wine from the night before. It was a Chardonnay that she poured into a goblet. The first sips reminded her of Dylan’s mouth and the flavor of the Chardonnay on her tongue and lips. Helena put the glass down. She felt like a daft teenager with everything reminding her of Dylan.
She picked up her land line and walked from the kitchen back toward her study. On the way, she passed the room that was still a baby nursery, but she was ready to make the call and have it changed to please Dylan—an editing room, a sound studio, a bay of computers and electronics for her to work however she wished. She told herself to slow down, wait and see. And Helena silently practiced some self-caution—Dylan was a heterosexual woman and you are her first lover. That’s what you will be her first, not her only, her first. Do you really want to give your heart now? For this one? When your heart will be broken? Caution was wasted; Dylan was her air.
She opened the door to her private study. The study kept with the art deco and art nouveau periods that were in her media room and living room. The desk was set in the middle of the room with floor to ceiling built-in bookcases on three of the four walls. The desk and bookcases were walnut with intricate, curving designs carved into the wood on the sides. Helena’s bookcases were filled with various sections of reading material: Classics from her childhood—her father’s tastes–first editions of Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit and Friends, Daniel Defoe’s Robinson Crusoe (with it’s full and original 68 word title written tightly over the front cover), and Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels, and from her mother–first editions of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s, Little House series from Little House in the Big Woods to Little House on the Prairie, to On the Banks of Plum River, Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women, and Carolyn Keene’s (the pseudonym for the authors) Nancy Drew Mysteries; Helena had all six of Jane Austin’s novels that weren’t first editions, but quite old, having inherited them from her grandmum, and three of Austin’s shorter works, the Bronte sisters were favorites, too, especially Charlotte and Emily and were placed beside the Austin books in alphabetical order. Helena had read both Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights a number of times; and several leather-bound collections of Charles Dickens were contained on the top shelves of the bookcases. Her guilty pleasures filled the other shelves—books on the art of cooking, theatre production, psychology, art and architecture, social politics, film and film criticism, Eastern philosophies, the Kama Sutra, and other books on seduction, sexuality, and sensuality of the lesbian variety.

I’m really pleased to see a new chapter so soon. Excellent plan by Shane and Carmen to get Al and Dana back together. I have a good feeling that it’ll work. Dylan and Hels, what can I say? They’re hot. I dunno how they’re going to get rid of Danny completely, but I’d think besting him would be easy, because he’s a complete idiot. Can’t the Peabody billions just hire a couple of thugs to muscle his sorry behind out of LA? Bette and Tina: Eureka! I think Porter’s got it! I cannot *wait* for Nicastro, Colley, Marcos and any other hatahs to get put in their place. And last but not least, you actually made me like Henry. Maybe it’s Christmas cheer, maybe it’s that you gave him a heart. Either way, I’m very glad you posted, great chapter, and dare I ask that you post again soon? Why yes. Yes, I do. Shane covered her mouth with her hand to keep from laughing. When she was six or seven, she thought that the words lavatory and laboratory were the same words. Her father had caught her with a glass Pyrex dish and a steak knife in the bathroom on her knees, pulling her poop out of the toilet to begin some experiments in her laboratory. She recalled that her dad threw away the baking dish. – LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!! Nicastro has got to GO! At least Bette got the ok from Henry to see Tina and that Bette is working on a plan. Helena and Dylan was freakin’ HOT!!!!!!!

The day seemed to end too perfect for B&T what drama do you have planned next? I just want Tina to get better and get up out of that hospital real soon. Stephanie is going to get the help she needs in jail if she keep taking that man’s money. Thank you for another wonderful chapter.
What a brilliant chapter. I’m glad that Bette didn’t end up in the slammer! I can’t believe that Whit wouldn’t have thought of the new Power of Attorney if that was plausable…I’m not seeing that as a viable option,,,get to the retreat, Bette!
