She heard Danny walking down the hall and quickly clicked on the button to remove the external hardware. She disconnected the external hard drive and slipped it into the inner pocket of her duffle bag, zipped it, and then closed down the remaining items on her Mac. Danny opened the door and stood with his hand on the knob.
“Hi,” she said breezily. “Where ya been?” She wasn’t remotely interested.
“Around. Here and there.”
Dylan yawned, stretched out her arms, cracked the bones in her neck by moving her head ear-to-shoulder both sides. “I made a few edits, but I’m tired.”
“Tired? From what?” His voice was cold.
“I’ve had a three shoots in the last week. I think a few more days worth of filming and I’ve got myself a film.”
“You mean, ‘we,’ right? We have ourselves a film. This is a ‘Grunt Work Production’ still, isn’t it? I mean. . .” He stared at her, his voice holding little inflection. “The computers you’re working on, the business paid for; the lamps, the recording system, the small crew you’ve hired are all getting paid from money the company made on my last two documentaries and our free-lance work, right?”
“Yeah.” She nodded. “Yeah.”
“So, you should have said ‘we’ve’ got ourselves a film?”
“If you say so, Danny. Why are you being a stickler for word usage suddenly?”
He moved into the room and she defensively swiveled her chair to track his movements. Danny sat on the sofa and looked at her. “I sense that you’re ready to walk away from me. I understand that you’re tired of this charade we have as lovers and I can see that you might have an attraction to Helena Peabody. She’s attractive, intelligent, has a shitload of money. . . .”
“It has nothing to do with the money.”
“Dyl, it has everything to do with it. I set you up to meet her for the fuckin’ money,” he reminded her. “I know you want out of this.”
It was hard to read Danny when he was in this kind of mood. He wasn’t obviously angry, but the hostility was there in his tone. He wasn’t behaving in a violent manner, but that always lay just under the surface, ready to break loose. She stared at him, refusing to take part in whatever he was moving toward.

I’m really pleased to see a new chapter so soon. Excellent plan by Shane and Carmen to get Al and Dana back together. I have a good feeling that it’ll work. Dylan and Hels, what can I say? They’re hot. I dunno how they’re going to get rid of Danny completely, but I’d think besting him would be easy, because he’s a complete idiot. Can’t the Peabody billions just hire a couple of thugs to muscle his sorry behind out of LA? Bette and Tina: Eureka! I think Porter’s got it! I cannot *wait* for Nicastro, Colley, Marcos and any other hatahs to get put in their place. And last but not least, you actually made me like Henry. Maybe it’s Christmas cheer, maybe it’s that you gave him a heart. Either way, I’m very glad you posted, great chapter, and dare I ask that you post again soon? Why yes. Yes, I do. Shane covered her mouth with her hand to keep from laughing. When she was six or seven, she thought that the words lavatory and laboratory were the same words. Her father had caught her with a glass Pyrex dish and a steak knife in the bathroom on her knees, pulling her poop out of the toilet to begin some experiments in her laboratory. She recalled that her dad threw away the baking dish. – LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!! Nicastro has got to GO! At least Bette got the ok from Henry to see Tina and that Bette is working on a plan. Helena and Dylan was freakin’ HOT!!!!!!!

The day seemed to end too perfect for B&T what drama do you have planned next? I just want Tina to get better and get up out of that hospital real soon. Stephanie is going to get the help she needs in jail if she keep taking that man’s money. Thank you for another wonderful chapter.
