She pulled the phone out of her pocket. “Hey, Alice. What’s up? Are you guys back from Palm Springs? I thought you were going to spend the weekend there?”
Alice was sniffling as she tried to compose herself. “Hi, Sh-Shane.”
“Alice, what’s wrong?”
“It happened again.”
“What?” Shane was blocking the stairs so she backed against the wall in the middle of the staircase to let people pass. “What happened again?”
“Dana broke up with me again and this time, it’s really over.”
“Why? I don’t. . .Alice, where are you? What happened? Are you in Palm Springs?”
“No. Nooooo. I’m back in LA. Shane, she said she loves me but I’m too jealous and she can’t take it. At least that’s what I think she said. I don’t know. We were happy last night. We were getting along great and then this postcard that I knew about and she didn’t, but then she did and her reaction to it. . . and then I saw and freaked, then she freaked. So I left. . .but she called. . .I drove home, but. . .then she drove. . .and then she wouldn’t. . .but I made her. . .and she won’t go to The Planet.”
“What? Alice, you’re not making any sense.”
Alice started to cry.
“Where are you? Are you at home?”
“Yeah-ah.”
“All right. I’m on my way. Gimme twenty, all right. I gotta find Carmen and tell her. But I’m on my way. Okay?”
“Okay.”
Shane disconnected, then ran up the stairs and searched the rooms for Carmen. She finally found the staging room where there were five deejay setups in the room. Carmen was sitting on the floor, scribbling on paper, and pulling 33 1/3 size singles out of one crate and either returning them to the crate or putting them in a stack next to her foot.
“Carm?”
Carmen looked up at her. “Hi, baby.”
Shane walked to her and helped her up. “I just got a call from Alice. She and Dana broke up.”
“What? Again? They’re a. . . . Why?”
“I don’t know. But she’s pretty messed up right now and she called me and I promised I’d come down and see about her.”

I’m really pleased to see a new chapter so soon. Excellent plan by Shane and Carmen to get Al and Dana back together. I have a good feeling that it’ll work. Dylan and Hels, what can I say? They’re hot. I dunno how they’re going to get rid of Danny completely, but I’d think besting him would be easy, because he’s a complete idiot. Can’t the Peabody billions just hire a couple of thugs to muscle his sorry behind out of LA? Bette and Tina: Eureka! I think Porter’s got it! I cannot *wait* for Nicastro, Colley, Marcos and any other hatahs to get put in their place. And last but not least, you actually made me like Henry. Maybe it’s Christmas cheer, maybe it’s that you gave him a heart. Either way, I’m very glad you posted, great chapter, and dare I ask that you post again soon? Why yes. Yes, I do. Shane covered her mouth with her hand to keep from laughing. When she was six or seven, she thought that the words lavatory and laboratory were the same words. Her father had caught her with a glass Pyrex dish and a steak knife in the bathroom on her knees, pulling her poop out of the toilet to begin some experiments in her laboratory. She recalled that her dad threw away the baking dish. – LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!! Nicastro has got to GO! At least Bette got the ok from Henry to see Tina and that Bette is working on a plan. Helena and Dylan was freakin’ HOT!!!!!!!

The day seemed to end too perfect for B&T what drama do you have planned next? I just want Tina to get better and get up out of that hospital real soon. Stephanie is going to get the help she needs in jail if she keep taking that man’s money. Thank you for another wonderful chapter.
What a brilliant chapter. I’m glad that Bette didn’t end up in the slammer! I can’t believe that Whit wouldn’t have thought of the new Power of Attorney if that was plausable…I’m not seeing that as a viable option,,,get to the retreat, Bette!
