    Bette, Tina, Dana, Alice, Shane, Carmen, Helena, Dylan, Kit, Angus, Peggy, and Marilyn discover what John Lennon said in the song, “Beautiful Boy” is absolutely true: “Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans.”

     

    Still clinging to Dana’s breast, Alice refused.  “Make me come first.”  She sucked air in through clenched teeth.  “God, you know I like that.”  Alice wiped her wet and matted hair off her forehead.  She bit her lip and Dana watched as Alice’s eyes glazed over, lost focus, turned a darker brown.  Alice’s body rocked rhythmically and her hand slid down and held onto Dana’s waist while tilting her body up so that the strongest stream of water could hit the spot that cried out for it.  “Oh, God, oh, God, oh, God.  Dana.  Umm, Da…”

    Bette was on her stomach and Tina was on her side beside her.  Tina’s hand was between Bette’s legs and though she couldn’t see her partner, she knew what showed on Bette’s face.  Tina had made love to Bette so many times and in so many ways, that she could tell how aroused she was by the look on her face.  Without directly looking at her, she knew that Bette’s nose was wrinkled, her eyes narrowed, her mouth by turns was going from barely opened with her bottom lip quivering to fully opened and soundless.

     

    “You’re so wet,” Tina said to her.

     

    “Tee…” Bette breathed out.

     

    Tina continued to stroke her.  “Get up on your hands and knees,” she commanded.

     

    Bette liked Tina ordering her around in bed.  It was fun and private.  This was the Tina no one else got to see (except perhaps Helena who surely had been privy to it), but it was a Tina often revealed to Bette.  Bette moved not to her hands and knees, but forearms and knees.  Her back was arched downward so that her ass made an inviting subject up high and round.  While Bette got in her position, Tina uneasily bobbed and rolled to maneuver her body so that she was on her knees beside her.  Bette’s face was turned sideways on the pillow, her cheek resting on the soft pillowcase, her eyes gazing out the window at three hurricane lanterns on a patio table on the other side of the pool.  The lanterns still held lit candles. Seconds after re-positioning themselves, Tina did what she knew Bette had been craving.  She entered her. Bette’s ass lifted higher as she spread her legs to fully accept and become accustomed to the two fingers that slid into the warmth.  Tina sighed and her eyes rolled up in her head as she pushed deep inside her while Bette’s eyes closed.

That for me is remarkable. Jenny’s death in season 5 and her magazine being thrown in the pool – what can I say, your attention to detail is a gold standard in fanfic. Kudos to you and also Wendy for creating this wonderful story.

    13. I read this chapter as slowly as I could so that I could savor every word of it. It was worth me taking the time, although I was fully aware that each time I clicked “Next page” I was that much closer to the finish. This was a fantastic end to such a richly layered story. Everyone got their ending, and each and every one of them earned it… the struggles each couple/family had to overcome to get to their happiness made it all the more believable. You didn’t cheat, Portia, not the readers, not the story. This has been such an absolute treat to read, through all the highs and lows, and I’ve loved every single word of it. (And kudos for not forgetting Jenny this chapter! heh) Thank you, Portia, for writing this story and taking us on the journey with you. Take care, and I hope we see another story from you soon.

    18. well after about a month and a half im finally finish with your story and as I wrote you before I truly believe you are a gift to writing and taking readers along for the experience. I had to stop several times for work or sleep but it was well worth the time. I prolonged finishing the last chapter didn’t want t see it end, but like the L word, like tibette chemistry, all good things but come to end….Bravo!! my friend I hope to see a book with your name on it forreal..til next story………

You did an absolutely remarkable job with this. The story telling, the storyline, the interweaving of the characters, seasons, cannon and AU was beyond incredible.
