Sabrina.
Bette was so angry with the Peabody’s for siccing Sabrina on her that she was fit to be tied. Better yet, she wanted to tie Helena up to a whipping post and have at her with a cane or a whip. Bette was already plotting ways of revenge as she drove home. Her anger for the young intern had bubbled and was festering. There would be no redemption, in her eyes, for Sabrina now. Sabrina had avoided her as if she were the plague after telling her that she worked for the Peabody’s. There was no other way of putting it. She worked FOR the Peabody’s. Bette sighed as she lay the baby down in her crib.
“You think you can get used to this?” asked Bette of the wide-eyed baby, who was staring at the glass mobile. “Pretty isn’t it? Leigh made it for you. Now if Leigh can get away from the fire breathing, blood sucking vampire named Helena Peabody before she gets her knocked up, she’ll be so much safer,” said Bette in a playful voice, the baby bouncing up and down on her back, giggling.
“Now that is no way to speak about my daughter, Bette,” Peggy said from the door, the man behind her holding an armload of presents. Bette swung around with a sudden gasp.
“P…P…” Bette stammered, and Peggy waved it off. She knew that her daughter was a pain in the ass. Helena was, after all, her daughter and the apple did not fall far from the tree.
“My daughter is all the things you’ve said, yet, very much more than that. I do hope you give her half a chance Bette. She has a good heart, just not the ability to execute those good thoughts,” Peggy said, as Bette ushered them out of the bedroom. When she looked back, the baby seemed to be waving; Bette just smiled, blew her a kiss, and closed the door.
“Peggy, I gave her a chance and she fired me…,” said Bette in a hushed voice.
Peggy’s face went white, her spine went rigid, and she took in a quick breath. She hadn’t known that Bette had been fired. She had been too busy trying to fix the farce of a breakup with Winnie. A break up that was mostly Helena’s fault. Now, Peggy’s other daughter was coming back to town in a few weeks and since Peggy hadn’t spoken to her in years, it was weighing heavily on her mind.

I’m just thrilled to see this in print again. Angie is so cute. Plus Sam is in this one/ Plus the whole gang. I’m still waiting on a Novel so it can grace my coffee table under glass and dare anyone to touch it. Hopefully Peggy will take care of Helena, and the good Dr will help Bette away from Tinas Mother. Somethings never changes Tinas Mother is a Bi%%h in this one also. thanks for posting bvh
Seriously you hit al the emotions. I feel anger toward Helena…sympathy for Sabrina’s situation…sadness for Bette in having to bring AJ home without Tina…annoyance at Tina’s Mom showing up and taking over now…scared for Marina…and I am laughing my butt off at AJ’s commentary. FANTABULOUS chapter!
I’ve got to go back and read the other chapters. Really enjoyed this.
Keep writing, Ill be here too!
It is fantastic. Please continue.. I love Marina and her sister. Held prisoner by Diane. All your stories are really good. I am already enjoying this. Please continue..
Hello tJR, Oh I am all for the serious moments it just makes any tender and cute ones that much more powerful. I can see there being a lot of issues rising up not only for Bette and Tina but also the rest of this ever growing family. You have such an amazing way of creating unique and different scenarios for each of these groups of characters that intertwine with one another to create on incredible journey. Never fear I’m here till the end (you just better make sure thats a long ways off :P). Hugs, JC
