    Angelica Kenter narrates – Mark comes home – Bette meets the creative director of Tina’s new project – Sabrina has an unexpected Knight in shining armor – Helena gets a blow – Dana is dramatic and Lara tries to change her mind –

     

                “That is an outrageous lie,” said Helena slamming her hand on the table, making Sabrina flinch, but Sam didn’t move.  Sabrina watched Sam, who seemed very businesslike and held no shadows of the doctor she’d once been.

     

                “In fact,” said Sam, ignoring Helena, “I’m considering having Sabrina gain legal counsel….”

     

                “That won’t be necessary,” said Victor, cutting in.  “Miss Steven’s,” began Victor, then corrected himself.  “Dr. Stevens, we’d like to you to begin work tomorrow, we’ve seen the error of our actions.”

     

                Sabrina shook her head, “Wait, what…”

     

                “You want to be a doctor?” asked Sam softly.  “Take life by the balls and swing with ‘em.”

     

                Sabrina laughed, “I want to be a doctor.  I just don’t know if I should be doing it here, but I trust Dr. Vance, so yes, I want to be a doctor.  I want nothing to do with Miss Peabody though.”

     

                “Then tomorrow morning, 7 a.m….,” said Victor, “…you begin your surgical rotation. Congratulations Dr. Stevens, you have quite a cheerleader in your corner.  I don’t think I’ve seen Sam this passionate about something in a long time.”

               

                “I’m going to pull all the funding of the Peabody…,” began Helena her face bright red, fists curled into small balls of anger.

     

                “No darling, you won’t be,” said Peggy from the door.  She moved to Sam, touching the woman’s shoulder.  “You’re cut off Helena, as of now I’m cutting you off.  You’ll have to learn that your actions have repercussions.  I don’t think this is how I raised you, but I’m rather sure I can still teach you how to behave, even at your age.”

     

                “Mother, you cannot be serious,” said Helena.

     

                “I am, I’m sorry, but I am,” said Peggy.  “Samantha, always nice to see you.  I see you’re feeling better and have come back from the brink of death.”

     

                “Can’t keep a good cock sucker down,” said Sam seriously, the board chuckled as they were getting up to leave.

     

                Peggy laughed, “Yes, well…”

     

                The room began to clear out, Peggy nodding to Sabrina and winking at her, Sabrina nodded back, waiting for the room to completely empty.  “Why did you do this?  How did you…”
