                “Making sure you don’t make the biggest mistake of your life,” said Sabrina.  “No deal.”

     

                “This is huge news.  TMZ has already run with the story, if we have footage, we can up the price….,” said the man.

     

                “No,” said Sabrina.  “If you ever cared about me, Mark, you’ll walk out of here with me.”

     

                Mark’s jaw clenched.  Sabrina shrugged and Mark held the disc just inches from Sabrina.  This was his chance, this chance to be a good brother, to get his family back.  “You have to forgive me.  You have to talk to me.  You have to let me in.”

     

                “Ok,” said Sabrina snatching the disc from Mark.  “Sorry,” she said to the man next to them, who was fuming. 

     

                Mark watched as Sabrina walked out before him, thinking he’d just given up 20 grand for a conversation with his sister.   She’d better make it worth his while.

                “GET OUT!” yelled Dana at the top of her lungs.  “I don’t want you here!”

     

                “Dana, we are your parents…,” began Mr. Fairbanks.  Tears streamed down the older man’s face as he tried to touch Dana’s hand.

     

                “Get the fuck out of my room.  NURSE!  Get them out!”  yelled Dana, ringing the bell that was next to her bed.  She banged her hand on the button, rattling the railing hard. 

     

                The nurse came in and asked the Fairbanks to leave.  Reluctantly they complied, leaving Dana alone with her thoughts.

     

                “You are going to so want them to come back,” said a voice from the door a few minutes later.  A short tomboy limped into the room, she hadn’t wanted to wheel into the room in a wheelchair, but walking was tiring.  She was wearing a scrub cap and scrubs but had a medical bracelet around her arm. 

     

                “They didn’t support me before, I don’t want them here now,” said Dana. 

     

                Sam picked up the chart at the end of the bed, looking it over; the vitals looked good.  “I flew to Australia to watch you play last year.  You were a force of nature.”

    3. You have my Sam in this one also. It something about her that makes my heart beat a webit,heck a hell’ve lot faster.Enough of Sam Never Bette is not a maid, if Tina wants a babysitter and a maid hire one. she will lose Bette if she keeps on. With Dane willpower,never know what will happen Alice and Lara, I could see the them consoling each other but not sex. Bette was trying to help a friend or friend and she gets a bad a&& chewing from Tina. thanks bvh

    4. JR, yes it was 2 weeks and now you say we alternate between the 2 stories, so 2 weeks wait for each one. Damn it’s a ploy to get us to reread the previous chapter before the new one. Fabulous update….’nuff said!

    5. So much available to comment on…I am so bummed that Dana got shot, but hope that she takes Sam’s advice and goes after her life with gusto no matter what. Looks like both Tina and Bette need to put some serious work into their relationship. As usual, BRAVO!

    6. Great update JR!!! Loved the Australia reference. I never went to watch the Tennis….. TOO HOT!!!! Poor Dana. She is going to be miserable for quite some time, I am sure. SHane marrying!!! WOW. I hope she goes through with it. Post soon.

    7. As a long-term ER fan, I love the doctors who were on-call. ARGH! I was hoping it wouldn’t be Dana. And she is possibly paralyzed? Mark is an enormous prick. I can’t believe he would even think of selling the footage. There has to be a middle point for Bette between housewife and gunplay. Alice and Lara? Argh. On one hand I understand it, but, that is going to crush Dana when she finds out. Hopefully some of what Sam said to Dana sinks in. Thanks for another great chapter!!

    8. Wow there was A LOT going on here. First, Tina is truly well and pissed off by Bette’s involvement isn’t she? I still felt bad for Bette. She has a lot to think about right now. As for Shane asking Carmen to marry her, WOW! That was obviously done in the heat of the moment and out of emotion. Mark, well he was honorable and did the right thing. Let’s hope this begins a road to recovery with his sister. Great stuff Ro! MORE!
