                Alice and Lara had finally left the hospital.  Dana’s parents were there, and Sam Vance, who was a doctor and a patient at the same time, something that Alice didn’t understand, was talking to Dana and her parents.  They hadn’t been allowed to see Dana, and all Alice wanted to do was go in the room and kiss Dana for hours on end. 

     

                “We can share a cab?” asked Lara.

     

                Alice nodded.  “Do you think she’ll still want to be with me?  After all this settles in?”

     

                Lara hugged Alice hard, kissing Alice’s cheek as she pulled away.  “She’d be insane if she didn’t.  Alice, Dana loves you.  It’s going to be hard, but you’ll have to be strong.”

     

                Lara hailed a cab, taking control of the moment.  Alice shuffled into the yellow cab as it pulled over and Lara gave him the address to Alice’s apartment.  They rode in silence.  Once they reached Alice’s apartment building, Alice turned to Lara.  “Come up with me?”

     

                Lara nodded.  “Ok.”

     

                Lara followed Alice to her door, entering the apartment; as she closed the door, Alice pushed her against it, kissing her fiercely.  Lara resisted for a moment, but then the insanity of the evening overtook her and she kissed Alice back with a wanton passion, wanting to forget that Dana was hurt.  They both fumbled with buttons and shirts as they stumbled to Alice’s bedroom.

                Mark walked into the bar, holding the disc in shaking hands.  Twenty grand, he was flying high and all he wanted was that money in his hands.

     

                “Mark Wayland?” asked a burly man by the door.

     

                “No,” said a voice behind Mark. 

     

                “Yeah,” said Mark.  Then he turned and saw Sabrina in her leather jacket, helmet in her left hand.  “Bree what are you doing here?”

    3. You have my Sam in this one also. It something about her that makes my heart beat a webit,heck a hell’ve lot faster.Enough of Sam Never Bette is not a maid, if Tina wants a babysitter and a maid hire one. she will lose Bette if she keeps on. With Dane willpower,never know what will happen Alice and Lara, I could see the them consoling each other but not sex. Bette was trying to help a friend or friend and she gets a bad a&& chewing from Tina. thanks bvh

    4. JR, yes it was 2 weeks and now you say we alternate between the 2 stories, so 2 weeks wait for each one. Damn it’s a ploy to get us to reread the previous chapter before the new one. Fabulous update….’nuff said!

    5. So much available to comment on…I am so bummed that Dana got shot, but hope that she takes Sam’s advice and goes after her life with gusto no matter what. Looks like both Tina and Bette need to put some serious work into their relationship. As usual, BRAVO!

    6. Great update JR!!! Loved the Australia reference. I never went to watch the Tennis….. TOO HOT!!!! Poor Dana. She is going to be miserable for quite some time, I am sure. SHane marrying!!! WOW. I hope she goes through with it. Post soon.

    7. As a long-term ER fan, I love the doctors who were on-call. ARGH! I was hoping it wouldn’t be Dana. And she is possibly paralyzed? Mark is an enormous prick. I can’t believe he would even think of selling the footage. There has to be a middle point for Bette between housewife and gunplay. Alice and Lara? Argh. On one hand I understand it, but, that is going to crush Dana when she finds out. Hopefully some of what Sam said to Dana sinks in. Thanks for another great chapter!!

    8. Wow there was A LOT going on here. First, Tina is truly well and pissed off by Bette’s involvement isn’t she? I still felt bad for Bette. She has a lot to think about right now. As for Shane asking Carmen to marry her, WOW! That was obviously done in the heat of the moment and out of emotion. Mark, well he was honorable and did the right thing. Let’s hope this begins a road to recovery with his sister. Great stuff Ro! MORE!
