                “No,” said Helena.  “How do I get mother to come to her senses?”

     

                “I don’t know,” said Becca.  “She certainly doesn’t talk to me.”

     

                Helena looked around, making sure that no one was listening.  “I think we need to make a power move, and rest assured Tina will back us.  Or more aptly put, she will back you.”

     

                Rebecca laughed softly.  “I think I can handle overthrowing her.”

     

                “Let me see what and who I can use as backing.  Phone me in the morning,” said Helena.

     

                “I’ll do that,” said Becca, kissing Helena on the cheek and walking away.

                Huh?  What was that?  oh you are gonna hafta figure it out yaselves….

                Bette and Tina walked into the house, Tina slamming her purse down on the table.  Kit must have been sleeping in the spare bedroom since she wasn’t anywhere in sight.

     

                “What the fuck were you thinking!  You got Dana shot, Bette!” blared Tina.  “She’s paralyzed Bette, she can’t walk.  Dana is an athlete!  You ended her life tonight, Bette.”

     

                “You’re being dramatic, there is a chance…,” said Bette.

     

                “Are you listening to yourself?  Did you hear what that woman in the wheelchair said?  Did you?  She won’t be able to walk.”

     

                “She said she might be able to walk, but not feel her legs,” corrected Bette.

     

                “Oh, and if you can’t feel your legs, how graceful do you think she’ll be out on the court?” said Tina.  “I cannot believe you did this, Bette.  How could you be so irresponsible?”

     

                “Dana is the one who tackled Diana.  I did not force her to do that.  Dana thought she was saving Carmen, I’m sure of it.  The woman had a gun….,” said Bette realizing how insane it all sounded.

     

                “A gun, Bette, and where was Jo Wheaton in all of this?”

     

                “Getting the rest of us out of the room.  Dana moved before Jo could get to her.  I don’t know, it happened so fast,” sighed Bette.

     

                Tina moved to the couch, sitting down.  “You have to stop this, Bette.  You’re destructive.  This whole adventurous side of you?  It needs to stop, you need to start living the life we have here,” said Tina.

    3. You have my Sam in this one also. It something about her that makes my heart beat a webit,heck a hell’ve lot faster.Enough of Sam Never Bette is not a maid, if Tina wants a babysitter and a maid hire one. she will lose Bette if she keeps on. With Dane willpower,never know what will happen Alice and Lara, I could see the them consoling each other but not sex. Bette was trying to help a friend or friend and she gets a bad a&& chewing from Tina. thanks bvh

    4. JR, yes it was 2 weeks and now you say we alternate between the 2 stories, so 2 weeks wait for each one. Damn it’s a ploy to get us to reread the previous chapter before the new one. Fabulous update….’nuff said!

    5. So much available to comment on…I am so bummed that Dana got shot, but hope that she takes Sam’s advice and goes after her life with gusto no matter what. Looks like both Tina and Bette need to put some serious work into their relationship. As usual, BRAVO!

    6. Great update JR!!! Loved the Australia reference. I never went to watch the Tennis….. TOO HOT!!!! Poor Dana. She is going to be miserable for quite some time, I am sure. SHane marrying!!! WOW. I hope she goes through with it. Post soon.

    7. As a long-term ER fan, I love the doctors who were on-call. ARGH! I was hoping it wouldn’t be Dana. And she is possibly paralyzed? Mark is an enormous prick. I can’t believe he would even think of selling the footage. There has to be a middle point for Bette between housewife and gunplay. Alice and Lara? Argh. On one hand I understand it, but, that is going to crush Dana when she finds out. Hopefully some of what Sam said to Dana sinks in. Thanks for another great chapter!!

    8. Wow there was A LOT going on here. First, Tina is truly well and pissed off by Bette’s involvement isn’t she? I still felt bad for Bette. She has a lot to think about right now. As for Shane asking Carmen to marry her, WOW! That was obviously done in the heat of the moment and out of emotion. Mark, well he was honorable and did the right thing. Let’s hope this begins a road to recovery with his sister. Great stuff Ro! MORE!
