Life: Altered 03.12 ~*~ Breathe In, Breathe Out

                “I’ve got some anti-pasto,
very light small dish, and some soup.  I
hope you like mushrooms?  I made some
    mushroom consomme.” Cass
said, setting the plate in front of
    Tina
‘s who’s eyes were wide.  She’d really gone all out, hadn’t she?

“Where did you learn to cook?”
     Tina
asked digging in and Cass sat down, pouring the wine, a nice Sauvignon Blanc.  That she poured expertly and Tina took a sip, savoring the flavor, Cass not answering her question, instead she watched Tina dip her fork into the food, tasting it
and a look of joy spread over her face as she savored it.
    Tina
realized that Cass had not answered her question of where she’d learned
    to cook.

“Oh god this is good.”  Tina said through the mouthful and Cass
laughed, just what she’d wanted to hear.

“So are you anxious to go
    home?”  Cass
asked and Tina stammered, and she shrugged.  Cass sat down, beginning to eat as the soft jazz played in
the background, the rest of the world melted away.

“I guess.”  Cass‘s eyebrows shoot up and Tina said quickly.  “I really want to see how Shane is doing.  Dana said she is good but I guess I have to see you know?”

    Tina
admitted and Cass nodded, knowing that in the last few weeks.  Tina was falling apart about her relationship with Bette, the cold phone calls, the long waits
between them, the e-mails gone unanswered.

“Ah ha.”  Cass said meeting Tina‘s gaze and Tina smiled sheepishly, dipping her spoon
into the bowl of soup.  Licking her lips
as she let the soup cool in her mouth, savoring the taste, knowing she’d be a
long time without a meal being cooked for her when she got home.

“Ah ha?  Come out and say it.”  Tina prompted and Cass set her spoon down, she put her fingers together,
    staring at
    Tina
, thinking she had nothing to lose by being truthful.

“Ok, your relationship sucks.  You are starving for affection, for direction
and independence.  There, I said it.  I feel so much better for saying it.  Everyone in your group, they all see this
picture perfect couple, because that is what they want to see.  They don’t see you being suffocated.”  Cass said and Tina stared at her, open mouthed
    and wide eyed.

    Comments

    1. Tina w/ Cassandra, Bette w/ Candace excellent pairings. Tina & Bette seem to function better w/ other people. I may be one of the few people who liked the character of Candace. I would like to see where you take this couple. Poor Shane hope she sends Steve’s ass to jail. Guess Cherie hasn’t visited (if she’s still alive), not surprised she was all about self.

    2. OH what a nice way to wipe the day out of my mind, I see I have a lot of JM reading to catch up on. OK and bette smells like wood LMAO!!! that was fucking hilarious. Alrighty off to read your other story.

    3. I feel so sad about Shane!!! She could talk to Bette and showed her that she made a big mistake!! I’d like Tina does not cheat Bette before she find out her infidelity. And I still want Bette feels a lot of guilty and pain!!!Nice post!!!
