Lucky in Love (Chapter 35)
“In a perfect world, we’ll each carry a baby. I’d like to try first because of everything that’s happened…and because I’m a little older.”
“What about the donor?”
“We have three options in mind for that,” Alice chimed in. “We’d like my brother, Nelson, to be the donor for Dana and her brother, Howie, to be my donor.”
“That way, the kids will not only have a blood connection to both of us, their fathers will also be a part of their lives.” Dana completed the thought.
“That situation can be a bit complicated, but often works out well,” Dr. Wilson replied. “You mentioned you had other ideas too?”
“We think Howie will agree, but it’s possible that Nelson won’t,” Alice said. “So we’re thinking that we’ll ask Dana’s friend, Harrison, to donate if he says no.”
“And then we’d decide if we want to go with Howie or ask Harrison to donate for Al too, so that the babies would be related by blood to each other,” Dana added.
“And if Harrison declines?” Dr. Wilson’s voice was kind. It was clear that she was just gathering information and trying to determine if her patients had thought things through as thoroughly as possible.
“Then it’s off to the sperm bank to find a donor for both of us,” Alice smiled. “We’ve already looked into it and are interested in donors who are willing to be contacted when the kids are eighteen.”
“I’m impressed with the research you’ve already done,” Dr. Wilson said. “Now that your menstrual cycle has returned and is regular, I see no reason for you not to try to get pregnant Dana. Based on today’s examination and the early results of the blood work, things appear to be as normal as they can, given your medical history. Your eggs appear to be viable, as does your uterus, but if you haven’t had any luck in six months or so, we’ll run some more tests.”
Dana’s relief was palpable. She’d been fairly convinced that Dr. Wilson was going to tell her that the chemotherapy had left her sterile, particularly since the second combination had been so virulently toxic. Dr. Wilson sensed her concerns.
“The chemotherapy doesn’t appear to have damaged your reproductive system, however, if we run into problems further on with your uterus, we can always look into finding a surrogate to carry your embryo.”

Again you’ve outdone yourself. I wish my writing could get better exponentially every time I post, but I suppose I’ll leave that to the the true authors like yourself. I can definitely see a lot of openings for followups to this, and not just in the Danish department, although everyone knows that’s the storyline I’m most interested in. I’ll read whatever you write, though, always will. I’m glad the Winnie thing seems to have reached a resolution, though if I were Helena I’d never even consider letting her near those kids regardless of explanations/apologies. Anyway, wonderful chapter, I hope you never stop writing.
That was truly excellent. I’m with De_Leish, I really hoped to see Al and Dane raise their kid(s). Maybe another sequel??? I like that they’re both gonna try to use their brothers as donors, if not Harrison would be a great idea (I miss him, he was so fun and flamboyant). Hope the next chapter won’t be the last one you write totally!
Surely your next chapter is not going to be the last in this wonderfully written fiction. It has been a truly fantastic journey you have taken us on, and will be sad if we don’t see our Danish girls raise their child(ren), but I am sure your next story will be just as pleasing for us. Thanks again – you deserve a Fanfic Award for this.
Fuckity Wow McFrack – you really keep getting better and better. I Loved – loved Alice/Dana getting down with the get down – uber Hotness! For the record I never want these characters you’ve developed to end. I’m giddy at the thought of a sequel – I raise my Mojito to you:)
Dang, I can’t believe it’s almost over. At least we can enjoy it while it lasts; this was yet another amazing chapter. I hope there are lots of sequels, and I can promise you that I’ll be reading them.
Loved this chapter, you are one hell of a writer!Glad Dana got the ok to have a baby, and i hope you continue this story like you always do!(still think you should of won the fanfics) Glad im here,so long Quad Sh*ttes! PPS and awesome chapter!!!
Nicely done, “It was the glasses, right?””And the damn shirt,” Dana answered, smiling. “How’d you know?”I hope you are planning on continuing this story as a sequel…because I love this story! PPS
So, Winnie’s finally finished… what of Gail? I hope, like Helena said, she’s having the first of many crappy days to come. Babies? Via Harrison? That could be… interesting. I think after Shane’s come this far, New York should be a piece of cake. She’s strong enough to handle it. That was heck of a nice way for Bette and Tina to say goodbye to the house. Great chapter, SG. Cheers
U gyrl so deserve the nominations!!!!!! This story has been a great ride, so entertaining, humorous, dramatic, romantic, sexy…all that and more!!!! love it, love, love it…..altho I’m not too hot on forgiving Winnie…I don’t trust a word that comes outa that tramps mouth; Helena has too much heart and too little brain; she should take Lara and her kidz and start life afresh without the dangerously ditzy Winnie and her off-sider Gail…HOPE AL AND DANES GET TO HAVE LOTS OF BABIES.PPS
Oh no 2nd last chapter, so we’re not gonna see Dana and Alice raise their kid :( Can you do a sequel, pretty pretty please with cherries on top? Oooh and about LA its kinda changed, I’m off to NY now which is a bit of a bummer since I really wanna meet you guys, if you know a cheap way to get from NY to LA then let me know! :) Thanks for this amazing chap though, still loving it. xxx
wow, sad to hear that this is coming to an end. :( I really do hope that you will continue it somehow. Lovely to see that Dana and Alice are preparing themselves for a baby. Nice ending for everyone. Great as usual, can’t wait for the next one, although it’s going to be the last one.
Wonderful as always! By all means take a break and then return with the rest of the story, there is still so much to tell isn’t there? Seriously either way this is fab story that i’ll re-read over again :)
