    New York Minute – Chapter 28

     Bette sat on the edge of the bed looking at her daughter who was fighting a very losing battle with sleep. They had taken a joint approach at first with both of them sitting with her and Bette reading “The night before Christmas “ for Angie. The little girl was as strong willed as both her mothers and if she wanted to stay awake she would fight hard to. But finally the excitement of the day and the promise of what was to come the next day wore her out and she was drifting off to sleep

     Bette sat on the edge of the bed looking at her daughter who was fighting a very losing battle with sleep. But finally the excitement of the day and the promise of what was to come the next day wore her out and she was drifting off to sleep

    “Goodnight Angie sweetheart “ Bette whispered

     

     

    “Night momma B “ Angie said managing a smile before totally drifting off into the land of nod. Bette sat for a few minutes watching her daughter and taking in what had happened that afternoon. She was blown away and it was taking some sinking in. finally she stood up, looked out of the window for a few minutes at the snow which was still falling hard before joining Tina in the sitting room. The blonde was examining one of the presents that Bette had bought Tina from Angie.

     

    “So both of you cannot resist what’s under that tree “

     

    Tina jumped and smiled

     

    “Was this her idea or yours ?”

     

    “Her idea – my cash “ Bette admitted grinning “She was very insistent about that one “

     

    “You going to tell me ?”

     

    “That would be a no “ Bette replied “She’s the same trying to guess what her presents are going to be “

It shows the forgiveness that has to exist between to people that have been in turmoil and then decide enough is enough, and let their love shine through.     16. Can’t stop re reading it. I have been waiting for this for so long. Now It makes me emotional. So well written, so full of love, I was crying with them too lol. incredible. I can’t say this is my favorite as all your stories are. But this story came at a point where I couldn’t stop myself missing it.
