Out of Closet (B&T time-travel romance), Ch. 50, Pt. 1

“I love to watch you sleep,” Bette said softly, “I love the way you frown when your dreams are not happy…I love the way you smile because I know you’re dreaming about me. At last I think you’re dreaming about me.”

Tina smiled but kept silent and Bette continued, “Some nights I can hear you moaning and giggling…I hope I’m the cause of that as well,” she kissed Tina again and smiled.

“How often have you been watching me?” Tina asked with surprise.

“Almost every night,” Bette lowered her head, “especially when I have trouble sleeping.”

“Almost every night?” Tina repeated, feeling guilty that she didn’t know about it.

Bette noticed the look on Tina’s face and said reassuringly, “It only lasts a couple of hours. After we make love and you’re snoring peacefully in my arms, I fall asleep as well.”

    “I don’t snore,” Tina laughed, “do I?”

“No,” Bette shook her head with a smile, “you’re perfect.”

Tina blushed and pulled Bette closer. They were now lying on the same lounge chair, putting their arms around each other and resting their foreheads together.

“I love you, Bette…you’re my everything.”

“I feel the same, honey…I feel the same.”

Tina looked into Bette’s eyes and softly kissed her on her lips, “How long have you been out here this morning?”

“Since sunrise,” Bette replied, calming down in Tina’s arms, feeling peaceful and content.

“Have you read any of it?” Tina asked, motioning towards the diary that Bette left lying on another chair.

“No…I wanted to do it together.”

“How about we take a shower, get ready, have a healthy breakfast and then revisit your past?”

“Be prepared for a very long shower, baby…you’re so beautiful this morning, I can’t hardly keep my hands off you.”

“What kind of long we’re talking about?”

“Long long long long shower,” Bette smiled.

“I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Tina said happily, “I race you…whoever get there first, gets a double pleasure.”

“I love this game,” Bette replied, running after Tina, “there’re no losers, only winners.”

Few hours later they settled back on the patio with coffee in their hands and the diary on top of the small coffee table. Bette picked up the little red book and touched the smooth leather skin with her fingers.

    4. What a sweet chapter! I could picture Tina and Bette out on the patio during both conversations, and your dialogue was perfect. I liked that Bette had Tina reading to her rather than the other way around. You’re getting so good at this that pretty soon we will have to pay to read your writing! :-) Thanks!
