    Chapter 21 – B&T beginning

     

    “I know… and that’s why I don’t want to make any promises to you just yet… I am gonna need some time… there are things I need to sort out…” Bette said looking more defeated than ever.

     

    “I know… so I want you to know that I’ll be here… I’m not going anywhere Bette” Tina planted a soft kiss on the brunette’s forehead and then her lips and quickly removed herself from Bette’s lap before she changed her mind about letting her go.

     

    After Bette cleaned herself up a bit and got dressed, she took the woman she loved all her life in her arms one more time and kissed her softly on the lips before exiting the room.

     

    Tina got worried. She knew Bette was going to return to her, she saw it on her eyes, but what concerned her most was in what shape Bette would be returning to her.

     

    At Bette’s house

     

    Bette slowly entered her house using the extra key she carefully had hidden in a plant. She noticed the place was quiet and in the same shape as she had left it the previous afternoon before she took off for her party. Luckily nothing had been smashed just yet… Yet being the key word.

     

    Bette was extremely confused and surprised to find Alice and Dana sleeping on her bed and Shane in the guest room. No signs of Julia whatsoever.

     

    What the fuck happened here?

     

    She started to make herself some much needed second doze of coffee and figured that the girls probably needed it as much as she did, so she prepared a large amount of it. But before sitting down with a mug of that precious beverage Bette proceeded to get quietly in her room, take some fresh clothes and head for the bathroom, she needed to clean herself up first. It was past noon anyway, so she thought that the best way of waking her friends up without creating much fuss was for them to hear the water running in the shower.

     

    “What the fuck????” Alice almost shouted as her sleepy brain processed the noise coming from the bathroom.

     

    “What… what…” Dana said almost jumping off the bed, scared at Alice’s reaction and still pretty much asleep.

    8. I’m glad the gang didn’t put any obstacles in their way, that’s something they are capable of doing all by themselves. Though I can’t help but wonder where Julia was? What are the odds that Alice is right? Probably not, but it would make things easier for Bette. The trip to the UK was a nice setup but I suppose that during this visit things went even more wrong? You’re doing great, thanks!
