Previously on the beginning of a friendship:
Tina:
I just stood there for a while, stunned and confused, before I started to drag my bags to my car. The pain in the muscles of my armes caused me to look under my sleeves and I saw the redness of it, knowing I would be black and blue tomorrow… I was mad at him, but not as mad as Id been the first time because now I understood better…
Why had he started using that stuff?
Why hadnt I noticed before?
Everything I had ever felt raged through me body when I started the car and looked back at the house before I started to drive… Tears were running down my cheeks and I made my way to the house of the only person I wanted to see at that moment. Refusing to think about why and how she would respond I quivery sighed her name…

Chapter 28
Bette:
Waiting for the pizza to arrive I turned on the radio, singing along with every song that came on… Cher, Abba… I didnt know the lyrics but I didnt care and I surprised myself with my enthustiasm… The doctor had told me to keep moving my knee, or it would soon be inflexible again, so I walked around a bit (I was not supposed to exaggerate… Talking about mixed messages!) and picked up some stuff that was laying around… I had never been good at organizing things at home… What I was good at at work I lacked when it came to housework… Or maybe I just didnt think it was as important as my job…
As I enthusiasticly continued moving trash from one place to another I thought of Tina
*Off course*
She seemed to live in my mind these days
*My heart actually*
When I closed my eyes I saw the hazel color of hers…
I felt the softness of her cheek against mine…
My imagination combined with my memories was… Bittersweet…
Knowing I could never have her…
Never truly love her…
I shut my eyes and pushed away all negative thoughts as a beautifull melody started to play on the radio I allowed my daydream to float on the music

yeah… sorry… I usually don’t like songs in fanfic, but then this is the second chapter with a song in it… It was just soooo right :)

OMG we got a chapter this weekend! WEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I wonder if Bette was singing off-key with the radio? If she was and I had been in Tina’s place watching her through the window, I would’ve probably rolled on the ground laughing my butt off. lol
As an addict, I’m needing a larger fix and 2 a day…see this is what you have made me into…desperate for this beautiful story you are writing. They are exactly as I would love them, pls don’t skip a thing however long it takes, tks!!!

This slow bringing together of Bette and Tina is wonderfully agonizing. The way you tell this story is brilliant. I just love it–have I mentioned that lately. Post soon please!
I hoppe that YOUR knee is okay. Did you have to put a needle in and drain it? Bette singing to this song and thinking as she did was funny and sad at the same time. It took a lot of courage for Tina to make it to Bette’s house and actually ring the door bell. Bette must be in heaven to be holding her sleeping beauty in her arms. I know that I would be. Great chapter.
