The L Word: Tina Kennard’s lost background
“Is not that bad…” Bette said, faking a hurt face.
“Yeah, I know…we can use it like weapon…it will chase away however comes near us…” Tina chuckled again…
“Anyway…that wasn’t my tonality…” Bette crossed her arms in defense.
“And what’s your tonality if isn’t a secret?” Tina asked looking sideway at her.
Bette slipped her hand between Tina’s legs lightly pressing her palm on her crotch and squeezing it making Tina to quietly squirm in her place and letting a moan…
“I think that one…” Bette took of her hand with smug smile over her face. Tina’s face was flushed and red, it was obviously to Bette that she’s turn on…”Is this turning you on?” Bette asked in her low, husky voice…
“Damn it Porter….if Angie wasn’t with us in the car, you would sing the Ode of joy by now…”
“Promises, promises…” Bette exhaled chuckling. Then she became serious.
“T, why you stop visits your relatives. I mean they aren’t very far away from L.A, we could come once or twice at month…”
“Bette…I told you there are things you’ll not like about my family. I just…I tried to protect you from them, they aren’t the…well they aren’t the best people in the world, and I was just concern about you and how you’ll accept tem…”
“Tina…I told you before…I love you and I’ll accept you no meter what’s your past. It’s a past nothing else, nothing less; the things from the past should stay in there, right?”
“Some of the things couldn’t stay there…they would never be just past, they are hunting me from years, but it’s time for me to move on, it’s time for us to move on, right?”
Bette nodded, then smiled and starts singing another song that was playing on the radio…Tina start laughing she turned her gaze back to the little girl smelling something not so nice…
“Oh my god, Bette I’m wondering what’s more bad your singing or Angie’s dippers…”
They were near a gas station, so Tina pulled over there.” At least I can throw out the dipper…” she mumbled under her nose, stepping out of the car. They made a little rest for changing the dipper and to have some coffee. After 20 minutes they saw the sigh “Welcome in Santa Maria”. Bette looked around, while they were driving trough the town streets. It was small town, and probable more of the people there knew each other, and an unknown, shiny car like Bette’s was something that you can’t see every day. Tina wasn’t paying attention, but Bette spots few people turning their heads back or whispering to one another.
