    Author Notes:

    Shane’s home. Helena’s leaving home. Bette and Tina try to figure out what to do with their lives. Everyone prepares for the day on this Los Angeles morning before New Year’s Eve.

    Jenny: I’m glad you’re home.

    Shane: …Thanks…

    Jenny rubs Shane’s head and some of her hair for a few seconds before giving a couple of light pats and leaving for the door.

    Shane: I was wrong….

    Jenny stands at the door and begins to look back, but then keeps her
    eyes on the door again.  She opens the door and walks out,
    preparing for her day at The Planet.  Shane wants to get up and
    confront Jenny’s disappointment head on, but her body won’t let
    her.  Shane’s eyes close, realizing her actions have hurt more
    than just Carmen.

    Next door, Bette and Tina wake to the sound of a crying Angelica. 
    They both climb out of bed to be there for her.  Tina picks
    Angelica up out of bed and holds her.

    Tina: What’s the matter, baby..?

    Bette: She’s probably hungry.

    Tina: When was the last time you fed her?

    Bette: Last night.

    Tina: Okay.  Get the bottle out of the fridge, please?

    Bette and Tina walk out of the room with Angelica in Tina’s arms. 
    Moments later, the crying is remedied with some milk.  Bette and
    Tina sit on the couch with Angelica in Tina’s lap.  Bette looks
    silently at Tina and Tina looks back up at Bette.

    Bette: …I know….what I did was wrong….and I just want-

    Tina: It was stupid, Bette!

    Bette: I know.  Tee, I tried everything I could to deal with this
    stress that had been building inside of me and I just couldn’t. 
    And now I’m looking at losing Angelica and….I just didn’t want to
    lose her.

    Tina: I could’ve called the police on you, Bette.  I
    didn’t…  I trusted you on your word when you called….and I’m
    glad you came home.

    Bette: Me, too.  But it’s more than just losing her that upsets me.

    Tina looks at Bette.

    Bette: It’s losing you.  And….it wasn’t the fact that it was
    Henry…not that it was to some walking penis.  It was just that
    it was someone who wasn’t me…

    Tina: Bette…I know what I’m about to say isn’t gonna make you any
    happier, but Henry’s a good man.  He’s a good father to his son
    and I don’t believe he deserves the ill will.

    Bette: Why isn’t he here?

    Tina: Because….he realized something that was so obvious, but for some reason I couldn’t see it due to my own issues.

    5. Yes, this story is happy and sad at the same time. As a Tibette fan I love that these two are in the process of healing their broken family. I am excited to see Alice and Lara helping each other out with the death of Dana. Even if these ladies do not form a girlfriend relationship they do have a great friendship to fall back into. Shane needs to come to some sort of terms as to why she left Carmen at the alter. I hope that they can also start over. As for Helena, she always bothered me in that she tried to take Tina away from Bette. Now, I see her in a different light. All she wanted was for someone to love her and care for her. She may have found that but not as a lover but as good friend to Jenny, Shane, Kit, Lara, Alice and of course even Bette and Tina. I hope that you will continue with this storyline.
