    Author Notes:

    Shane’s home. Helena’s leaving home. Bette and Tina try to figure out what to do with their lives. Everyone prepares for the day on this Los Angeles morning before New Year’s Eve.

    Bette: …What…?

    Tina looks back at Bette.

    Tina: I’m….Bette, I’m not gay.

    Bette has a look of shock, then confusion.

    Bette: Excuse me???

    Tina: I’m bisexual.

    Bette sighs and rests her face against Tina’s shoulder.

    Bette: I consider myself to be so intelligent….I should’ve figured that out without you telling me.

    Tina: No…  When I was with you for all those years, I saw the
    pride in your eyes when I declared myself gay.  I know….it’s
    seems silly, but…..I liked seeing you beam.

    Bette: Forgive my insensitivity, Tee….but I don’t care what you are…as long as I’m yours.

    Tina closes her eyes and smiles, almost laughing.

    Tina: Okay.  No more encouraging me to explore my feelings with guys.

    Bette: Oh, I don’t think you’ll have to worry about that.

    They look each other in the eyes again.

    Tina: Good.

    They smile at each other and enjoy the company not only each other, but
    Angelica, their child.  Bette has a sneaking suspicion she’s not
    out of the doghouse just yet, but at the same time she’s just happy she
    and Tina are on their way back to where they should be and that’s
    together.

    As Bette and Tina start on their road to recovery, another journey is
    still in its infancy at Alice’s Apartment as Lara awakens on instinct
    to prepare for her return to work at The Planet.  Lara sees Alice
    below her on the couch, the two of them falling asleep together in each
    other’s arms.  Alice almost awakens for a moment, but Lara is
    still as to not disrupt her slumber.  Lara gently slides off of
    Alice’s body and walks to the bedroom.  Lara pulls a cover off of
    Alice’s bed and brings it to the living room.  With Lara’s body no
    longer providing warmth and comfort for the sleeping Alice, Lara places
    the cover over Alice so that it can provide instead.  Eventually,
    Lara is ready for work and walks over to Alice one more time. 
    Lara goes to her knees and gently presses her forehead against Alice
    and rubs the strands of hair in Alice’s face back so her face is
    unabrupted.  Lara kisses Alice on the temple, stands and leaves
    for work.  She’s confident they’ll be able to take care of each
    other.

    Also ready to head for the Planet after so many days away from it is Kit Porter.  She and Angus are in the driveway.

    5. Yes, this story is happy and sad at the same time. As a Tibette fan I love that these two are in the process of healing their broken family. I am excited to see Alice and Lara helping each other out with the death of Dana. Even if these ladies do not form a girlfriend relationship they do have a great friendship to fall back into. Shane needs to come to some sort of terms as to why she left Carmen at the alter. I hope that they can also start over. As for Helena, she always bothered me in that she tried to take Tina away from Bette. Now, I see her in a different light. All she wanted was for someone to love her and care for her. She may have found that but not as a lover but as good friend to Jenny, Shane, Kit, Lara, Alice and of course even Bette and Tina. I hope that you will continue with this storyline.
