What I Want for Christmas – Part IV
On New Year’s Day, Tina sat on the floor with her back against the couch reading a script while Angelica played with a large pile of stuffed animals. In the morning Angelica had watched Sesame Street while Tina made Angelica’s favorite breakfast, French Toast and afterwards they weeded in the garden together. The doorbell rang, startling Tina. Angelica ran over to the door, Tina opened it to find Alice standing there with a large container of Planet coffee in one hand and sun glasses over her eyes.
“How was the after party?”
“Don’t ask, don’t tell is the family policy.” Alice replied. “Believe it or not, I can’t stay and chit chat, I’m just dropping this off for Bette.” Alice reached into her back pocket and pulled out a white envelope and gave it to Tina.
Alice then handed a bag with some treats that Auntie Kit had sent over to Angelica with the instruction not to eat them all at once.
“Thanks Al, that really goes over well with a toddler.”
“Why did Bette have you deliver this?” Tina said, turning the envelope over in her hands.
“She said she had an errand to do in the opposite direction. She’s in much better shape than the rest of us. Jodi wasn’t even there to bask in the afterglow. Her piece was actually the best of the lot.”
“Are you sure you don’t want to come in? We can watch kiddie videos, I know Angie’s taste is a little more highbrow than yours, but I’m sure she’ll make an exception for her Earth Mother.”
“I gotta go, l left Tasha at The Planet.”
“You forgot your girlfriend?”
“No, she wanted hang with Shane. Lord knows why since Shane was too hung over to speak.”
Tina laughed. She had a pretty good idea why the silence would be golden to a woman like Tasha after a night of drinking.
“Why are you all in such bad shape this morning.”
“There was a deadly “gorilla” cocktail to go along with the art. It think it was meant to delude people into thinking the art was good or to make us forget the simulated scent of dead corpse in the dumpster. I hope nobody bought that load of crap. Talk about buyers’ remorse….”

hurray…bette made the right decision :)
Madcapper, this is the first story I have read of yours, Magnificent, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love how you ended it with a grand romatic gesture, practical enough for Tina to appreciate, with enough sacrifice in it for Tina to see that nothing is more important to Bette than Tina anymore.
Mads…That was wonderful. PP again. Like an epilogue??? pretty please.
That was wonderful, Some choices changes your whole life. Bette just did, thanks
I so looked forward to this story PLease continue with epilogue.
yeah what toby4ever said and more…great…loved it all…don’t stop writing plz.
I will NEVER remove you from my favourite authors list.
that was really super sweet. such a great story, in that kinda romantic way that i’m actually a real sucker for. awwwwwww, good one madcap. look at me, getting all mushy over tibette. it takes some good writing for that to happen! hehe:)
i would love another story that picks up where this one left off-great
Nice ending.
“You’re the co-pilot, I think you should have some input.” Well done!
Hello Madcapper, that was so super sweet, I love how you had Tina self medicating herself with time spent with their daughter, that is exactly what I would be doing if the love of my life was not there with me to share in it. The way you had Bette was brilliant, that is how I see her, she can’t really physically show her emotions, she has been raised to feel that they are a weakness and sometimes this never gets released, but she does turn to others to help her in her time of need… this was so beautiful and romantic and it was the gesture that Tina needed… the car signifies her desire to be with her family, for her family and for herself. This was beautiful and so very emotional… please come back soon. Sincerely, JC
So our girls are back together. They are the family that they should have been all along. I loved how Angie wanted to take care of her mamma when she was crying her eyes out. Please write soon.
So glad Bette saw the light of day. Damn she’s good. Tina, what a great job of getting Bette to see what you already knew she felt.
I’m happy that Bette make the right decision and that she gave up controll to Tina. Now please continue your Story “How the WeHo West was won”. PLEASE
Oh my…That was just perfect! However, I would always love to read more so feel free to bring on the epilogue.
Thanks for a great wrap-up!!! What a brilliant story!!!
So let’s all go for a ride.
That was awesome and Bette, you go girl. Good Bette make a right decision and can’t to see they live together. Please post more, thanks!
