Window of Opportunity ch.21
“Bette, we just lost a major sponsor and you didn’t yell. Why on earth would I do anything to mess this up? Mums the word but one day, she will get a big bouquet of flowers from me.”
“Thanks James. Let me know if none of these pan out and I will figure something else out.”
“K Boss. See you later.”
I should’ve been more invested in this but today, I just wasn’t. James was more than capable of putting a dent in the legwork. Tina was coming home and that was my priority.
Tina
I woke up still thinking of Bette and more importantly, still aroused. I again took care of it by imagining every place my hand touched, it was her hand touching me. It didn’t take long but then with her it didn’t take me long. She knows my body so well.
I guess starting off the day with thoughts of Bette made my morning manageable. I was able to resolve some minor issues and head to the airport before noon. Changing my ticket to an earlier flight made me happy. I was going to see my baby soon. Of course the best plans always have a hitch to them. When I boarded the plane, I saw Shana and my happy mood was no longer. I sat down a couple rows behind her, pulled out my phone and sent Bette a text. I omitted the fact that Shana was on the plane and told her I was headed home. I would tell her about Shana tonight.
Shana did approach me during the flight but I pretended to be sleeping. I actually had my eyes closed as I was thinking about tonight and heard her call my name. I didn’t open my eyes and she eventually took the hint and walked away. I was going to have to do something about her. I can’t imagine that she knew I would be on this flight but for her to approach me when I have told her that I wasn’t interested got me pissed off.
When we arrived back in LA, I waited a moment before heading to baggage claim. I saw her in the distance but had much more pressing issues to attend to. While I waited for my luggage, that it seemed I would just unpack and repack, I pulled out the phone and sent Bette a message letting her know I was back. I decided to go home, go ahead and repack and then pick Angie up and go to Bette’s. I hoped maybe she would come home early and spend time with us.

Simply lovely! Thank you for writing! [Did you find your glasses yet?] :)
So good!!! PPS.
I take it you teach?? I love that the gang were together and they all welcome Tina. Friends are the ones that counts in the long run. True friends are hard to find and to keep. Love how Bette and Tina acts so silly together. Feels like old times. thanks
Awesome! Looking forward to the date!
This story is so good. Thank you for sharing your talent.
I love this story more with every chapter! Please post soon as I’m very excited to see what Bette has planned for their date:)
Loving this story!!!!! PPS.
Oh, the heck with the students… we are all dying for more of your story! :>) So beautifully crafted. I love the flirting between B & T over the bathing suit. Absolutely HOT with a dose of reality (an inquisitive 3 year-old) thrown in as well. I think I’m looking forward to the date as much as Tina is! PPS
Testing, I hate state wide testing. We are doing it also. I don’t have to give it, but as a special area teacher I get to give extended breaks to the classroom teachers. Having Kindergartners for 40 minutes with golf clubs in their hands will drive anybody mad. I love how the family is coming back together slowly. The speed and care that is going into Bette and Tina reconciliation is amazing.
Loved the chapter. I hope you get your project done without too much trouble and take us along on the B&T date soon.
Incredible!!:)
