    Window of Opportunity ch. 64

    “Is she ok?” I asked.

“Yes. She wanted Kit to promise she could call us when she woke up but Kit had already told her we would call her. She wants to call Mom and Daddy too. They will welcome being woken by her much more than we would so Kit will have her call them in the morning. They sent coloring books, a blanket and videos in the backpack along with snacks. Kit said it was all helpful on the plane. She also told us to have a wonderful time.”

“I can’t believe we’re here and she is there with Kit. When she was born, I could never have imagined her out of my sight.”

“I know. Kit is so good with her, that I’m ok with being away from her. I love being with you and I don’t want us to get lost in being parents and forget to be lovers.”

“I don’t think we’ll forget to be lovers but I know what you’re saying. Suzanne and I talked about it one session and how so many couples don’t make time for each other. I think we’ve lucked out because we never lack people willing to spend time with Angie.  How do you think that she’s going to take to being a big sister?” We had finished our meal and were sitting there talking and sipping our wine. The waiter cleared our table and returned carrying a tray with warmed triple chocolate cake and coffee. Tina’s eyes lit up when she saw the generous serving of coffee ice crème. Gregory had heard about her obsession. We spoon fed the incredible concoction to one another as we continued our conversation.

“I think it’s going to be a tough adjustment for her Babe. She’s had such undivided attention for all of her life that having to share us and the others is going to be rough for her initially. She will fall in love with the baby and want to help which will help but we’re going to have to be aware.”

“Having your parents there will probably help. She will be able to do things the baby can’t like spend the night at their place but you’re right. She’s been the only child to everyone. We’ll have to talk to them too about how they can’t spoil her more to compensate.”

Tina has always been the strong one in their relationship and when Bette relaxes and allows Tina to take control every now and then, they are happier, more at peace and secure about the future of their relationship. Thank you for this update, NAG. Hope you’ll find time to chill in the midst of the scorching heat. :>

    11. Great chapter, so loving together and Bette’s letter was the highlight of the chapter, so beautiful and loving. Happy to see little G sleeping a little better for you. I cook grits all the time and I will send Rau direction for making grits. I live in Texas and my paternal family is from Louisiana so I’ve had them all my life. They’re easy to make and I love them, my children hate them. Get some rest and post when you can. Still loving the story and I just told some friends about the story. BTW everyone, L Word Season 1 will start on Logo channel June 26 at 10:00 pm.
