    Window of Opportunity ch. 64

She looked at me and had tears in her eyes. There was never much that she wanted and when she told me she would love to see this show, I tried to make it happen. Unfortunately, it wasn’t possible. I checked with Shelly after I found out we were going to be in New York and was told that the show would end two days before we were coming to town. I went on to tell her how much Tina wanted to see the show and how we just couldn’t make it there. The pieces were going to auction after the exhibit so there wasn’t even the chance to go somewhere else to see it. Shelly informed me that Sotheby’s was paying MoMA to store the items until the following week and if we promised not to tell anyone, she would get us in to see it.  I think I yelped when she told me that.  I surely don’t typically yelp but to be able to make this happen for Tina made it all worthwhile and Shelly teased me to no end about how whipped I was by one Ms. Tina Kennard. I couldn’t argue with her. For days we talked or emailed each other while making the arrangements and by the time she told me it was definitely a go, I probably was as excited as I knew Tina would be. My excitement was only because of her not because I too had a secret fascination with Jackie O.

The room that the items were stored in was huge and the dresses were still on mannequins and the jewelry was still in display cases. Sky apologized and told us due to the unprecedented showing she would have to stay with us during the time we were in the room. I understood because I’m not sure had I been the curator, I ever would have agreed to this request.

Tina walked over, hugged me and whispered thanks in my ear. She started looking around and she and Sky started talking. Both were so knowledgeable that I stayed in the background. The items were very pretty and of course I remember pictures of her wearing some of them but this was Tina’s time to savoir it all and with Sky’s assistance she certainly did.

    3. NAG, you are absolutely incredible and this is one amazing story! It is as good at chapter 64 as it was at chapter 1. I really enjoy everything about this story and I’m so glad that you will be continuing it and not ending it abruptly. Can’t wait for your next installment!

    11. Great chapter, so loving together and Bette’s letter was the highlight of the chapter, so beautiful and loving. Happy to see little G sleeping a little better for you. I cook grits all the time and I will send Rau direction for making grits. I live in Texas and my paternal family is from Louisiana so I’ve had them all my life. They’re easy to make and I love them, my children hate them. Get some rest and post when you can. Still loving the story and I just told some friends about the story. BTW everyone, L Word Season 1 will start on Logo channel June 26 at 10:00 pm.
