“Well damn Ash… everything’s perfect.  Thanks, you know you don’t have to do this for me.” 

“Are you kidding Spencer?!  I’ve been dying to take care of you like this for the past, well, four years!  I can’t believe it took us this long to finally move past being just friends..”

“Haha, okay.  Just for now though, I can take care of myself you know.”

“Yeah, so I heard from our conversation about your shower earlier.”  Bring on the blush… “Ow! Sorry, you totally started it.”  She said as I punched her in the arm, lightly.

“Whatever, you have a far dirtier mind than me….let’s just start the movie okay?”  I say as I start to eat my soup.

“Okay…fine, it’s Say Anything because this movie is the best thing ever made.”  Yeah, for some reason Ash is a huge John Cusack fan….oh well.  I do think this movie is the shit.

After I finished eating, and Ashley and I were like half way into the movie, I just couldn’t focus on the movie.  Ashley had moved so she was lightly running her fingers over my stomach, making random designs and leaving me unable to concentrate on anything else.  I finally just turned and fully faced her, so she paused the movie and turned to me too, “What’s up?”

“Nothing…just..” I was being cut off by Ashley’s lips on mine.  “Yeah… basically that’s all I wanted to say,” and with that we ended up making out for like another hour before we pulled ourselves apart before it got out of hand…

“Okay… now I could definitely use that cold shower.”  Ash says breaking the comfortable silence we had going just looking into each other’s eyes…way to be blunt, but that’s what I like about her.

“Yeah, I know… but I was thinking we should take this slower, you know?”  I asked hoping she wouldn’t just get up and leave…

“I totally agree… I don’t want to rush into anything with us.”  She said as she pulled me into her with my head resting on top of her chest and her arms around my stomach, with her tracing random things on against my skin.  I just sighed completely content in her arms.  With a light kiss to the top of my head, we finished the movie from where we had paused it before. 

After the movie, I flipped over so I could see Ashley’s face.  I was just enjoying the sound of her heart beat when I felt her tuck some stray hairs behind my ear, making me look up into her eyes.

“Your heart’s beating faster now…what is it?”  I ask concerned that she might have realized this isn’t what she wanted and she had changed her mind.

“Oh, well.  I just realized that I never actually asked you the one thing I came over here to do.”  She replied laughing lightly.

“And that would be…”

“Miss Spencer Carlin, would you be my girlfriend?” Ashley asked the second part in one breath, but I definitely didn’t miss what she said.

I couldn’t really resist and practically screamed, “YES!!!!”  “I would love to be your girlfriend Miss Ashley Davies!!” 

“Gooooddddd!  I was really nervous.”

“You have nothing to worry about Ash, I could never dream of hurting you.” 

We shared a few small kisses, but nothing to get us really worked up because I was beginning to get tired and I could tell Ash was too.

This time when we fell asleep together in the same bed, cuddled together, we had nothing to fear.  I was actually in a relationship with the girl of my dreams…what could be better?  Ashley just wrapped her arms around me and our leg tangled together as I fell asleep the happiest I had ever been.
