    B&T reunite 9 years after season 1: Lazing around the house and some big decisions are made

     

     

    Tina was a little worried because despite everything Bette had just said she knew that she really loved her father and it was sounding like she was giving up on him already. “I love that you want to protect us but Melvin could surprise us babe. He loves you and I’m sure that he’s going to really try to change it’s going to be a big adjustment for him, but I’ve learned to never underestimate a Porter…”

     

     

    Tina was brushing her fingers through Bette’s hair again and saw a hopeful look in Bette’s eyes. They leaned in for a tender kiss. “We’ll deal with whatever comes our way babe and if it turns out that Melvin can’t…” Bette briefly looked down. Tina gave Bette a reassuring squeeze as she looked back up. “…then we’ll figure something out, you Porters are a little stubborn and you put up a good fight but you’re completely worth all this aggravation.”

     

     

    Bette loved how supportive Tina was, how she was her greatest source of strength when she was feeling uncertain. “I’m better now T I don’t fight as much, although I will fight for my family I’m afraid that will never change.”

     

     

    Tina smiled. “I love how you fight for your family.” They kissed a bit more. Bette felt reassured that things would work themselves out and if it didn’t she could live with it as long as she had Tina and Eli.

     

     

    They let out a deep breath as they began to relax again.

     

     

    “T after this week we only have one more week before you have to go back to work we should make some plans shouldn’t we?”

     

     

    “We only have this place until Sunday I can call the owner’s and see if I can rent it for the following week but after that we have to figure out where were going to live.”

     

     

    “T you work in New York and Eli goes to a very good school in New York. I want to be with you I don’t care where we live as long as we’re together.”

     

     

    “What about Kit and the girls we’d be leaving our family behind.”

    8. I’ve been following this story from its beginning. It is so awesome. I also love that you write detailed and layered chapters. You take the time to have the story unfold at a realistic pace. Great job. Bette is so accomodating w/o being a doormat. Being a diehard TiBetter this is how I pictured their life together. I hope this happens on the TV show.

    13. You, of course, can’t see it, but I’m doing my happy dance. :) Glad to see this story back, finally! You peg Peggy pretty dead on; that stream of words without stopping. Ah, I do love her so! I had to laugh at Bette getting sleepy with Tina stroking her hair; I’m the same way. I think it’s cute that Bette wants to ask Eli’s permission. Seems about right if she’s going to be stepping into their lives. As for Tina and Melvin alone… yikes. Can’t wait to read all about it, though! Love how long your posts are, and I hope you don’t keep us waiting as long next time!

    15. Is this story every worth the wait. Great job. Love how B&T are actually talking to each other, how Eli is included in all they’re plans and thoughts, especially Bette. Melvin will come around now that Peggy got a hold of him. I agree with AmandaMG, a baby sister would be good.

    16. The talk that Peggy had with Melvin seemed to have kick started his want to maybe make things right. He maybe doing this for Bette and Himself but in the long run it will also be for Tina and Eli. I am so glad that they are working towards becoming a true family.

    22. I love this B&T (and Eli) I love how they communicate better now…how they are with each other. I am proud of how Bette is so protective of her family. I like how they were both willing to compromise about the move. I guess in a nutshell I love this story. Thanks for continuing to post and giving us something wonderful to read.

    23. I like how long your chapters are. Thank you. This is such a sweet love story. Totally love Eli, although I don’t agree with Bette feeling like she has to his permission to marry Tina. It is cute, but Eli is still a nine year old child.
