“It’s going to be hard to leave them again but we need to do what’s best for our family.”

“Baby I asked Bryce and Sandy to look into job openings in LA there’s an opening for my current position but its bi-coastal New York and LA, there’s a few positions lower then the one I currently hold…” Bette was shaking her head clearly not liking that option. “…okay the last option is a position my boss has been trying to get me to take for the last year it’s here in LA but I’d be the president of development I’d get a huge raise but I’d also have a lot more responsibility.”

“Which translates into a lot more money but it won’t matter because you won’t have the time to enjoy it because you’ll be working all the time, plus there’s the added bonus of a huge increase in stress.”

Tina chuckled. “Exactly the rush of being responsible for multi-million dollar productions pales in comparison to all the responsibility that comes with it…I want to be around as Eli grows up and if I take this job.”

“You’d be lucky if you could schedule us into your day…” Tina nodded she knew Bette would understand that although this would be a huge validation of how good she was at her job it still hit a little too close to home with how Bette had lost herself in her work at the CAC.

“I don’t want to be an absentee mother babe.”

Bette was now rubbing her hands up and down Tina’s back to reassure her. “So taking a job that’s lower then your current position is out and taking the job as president of development is out what are your thoughts on the bi-coastal job?”

Tina let out a deep breath. “It was thinking about how this could work out and if I took this job I’d still be based in New York but I’d fly out to LA for a few days whenever I’m needed. With both your gallery’s based in California I figured that you’d be flying out here a few times a month. That translates into a lot of flying for both of us but we’d be together.”

    1. Awwww I love this amazingly sweet story, I’ve really missed an update, but totally understand your prioritys. Looking forward to the next one – btw I just loves the plans they’re making :o))

    2. I’ve been following this story from its beginning. It is so awesome. I also love that you write detailed and layered chapters. You take the time to have the story unfold at a realistic pace. Great job. Bette is so accomodating w/o being a doormat. Being a diehard TiBetter this is how I pictured their life together. I hope this happens on the TV show.

    3. Great job once again, toribio! Wish I could write such long chapters! The way you have everyone talking things out is great–filling in the gaps the show left. Can’t wait to see how Tina’s convo with Melvin goes–it was neat how you connected him and Peggy. All these characters are true to form. Please post again as soon as you can!

    4. You, of course, can’t see it, but I’m doing my happy dance. :) Glad to see this story back, finally! You peg Peggy pretty dead on; that stream of words without stopping. Ah, I do love her so! I had to laugh at Bette getting sleepy with Tina stroking her hair; I’m the same way. I think it’s cute that Bette wants to ask Eli’s permission. Seems about right if she’s going to be stepping into their lives. As for Tina and Melvin alone… yikes. Can’t wait to read all about it, though! Love how long your posts are, and I hope you don’t keep us waiting as long next time!

    5. Is this story every worth the wait. Great job. Love how B&T are actually talking to each other, how Eli is included in all they’re plans and thoughts, especially Bette. Melvin will come around now that Peggy got a hold of him. I agree with AmandaMG, a baby sister would be good.

    6. The talk that Peggy had with Melvin seemed to have kick started his want to maybe make things right. He maybe doing this for Bette and Himself but in the long run it will also be for Tina and Eli. I am so glad that they are working towards becoming a true family.

    7. EXCELLENT updateand Amanda, you took the words out of my mouth. I sooooo totally agree with Amanda and love you writing and comittment to this story, PPS :o)

    8. Toribio, this is absolutely fan-fucking-tastic!!! Sorry, but there are no better words! And great of Tina to let Bette in on her talk with her father, it would be an aweful move to start their new life with a lie indeed! I loved every single word of this chapter… Wrong, I loved every single word of every single chapter of this story!!! Thank you so much and please come back soon with either of your stories, you’re a fantastic writer!

    9. I love this B&T (and Eli) I love how they communicate better now…how they are with each other. I am proud of how Bette is so protective of her family. I like how they were both willing to compromise about the move. I guess in a nutshell I love this story. Thanks for continuing to post and giving us something wonderful to read.

    10. I like how long your chapters are. Thank you. This is such a sweet love story. Totally love Eli, although I don’t agree with Bette feeling like she has to his permission to marry Tina. It is cute, but Eli is still a nine year old child.
