Bike Ride, Life Ride – Chapter 12
Bette and Tina were simultaneously awoken by the sound of Tina’s cell phone ringing. Tina rubbed her eyes and looked over at Bette who was also just waking out of a peaceful slumber. Tina untangled herself from Bette and carefully got out of bed.
Tina said “Hey Shane. You did? Great. Yes, that is great news. Yeah bring it over, totally. No, it is ok. It will cheer Bette up. About a half hour? Great, see you then”.
Bette sleepily said “Babe, I don’t know if I am ready for visitors. I don’t know…”
Tina said “Bette, sweetie, it is just Shane. And I have some really good news. Kit shipped me a big box of stuff from LA and it arrived at the hotel and Shane is bringing it over to us. And it has goodies in it….ones that will cheer you up!”
Bette said “Nothing will cheer me up”.
Tina said “Nothing baby?”
Bette pouted “Nothing”.
Tina said “Well then I guess I will just keep your laptop then and tell Shane to ship it back”.
Bette said “My laptop?”
Tina said “Ahhhhh see you are interested in my goodies. Yes your laptop and some other stuff too”.
Bette said “OK”.
Tina said “That a girl. Bette we have to make the most of this situation and you are going to have to work with me here. I called Aaron when Jodie was visiting with you and explained the situation and I am going to be doing some work from here with my laptop. I am having some files emailed to me and I am going to do daily film review and such from here”.
Bette looked surprised and said “And Aaron is ok with that?”
Tina said “Well, I wouldn’t exactly say he is happy, but he is ok with this. We had a couple of go arounds about it. A fight really. And then I reminded him of my contract and I also might have thrown in the Family and Medical Leave Act, which allows for me to take time that I need to care for my partner”.
Bette said “Is that me?”
Tina said “Well Baby, thank god there is only one of you…yes, silly that is you”.
Bette teared up and said “I don’t know what to say…”

Sorry to hear you are still sick. Thank you for continuing to write – i know when i was sick my brain felt foggy. Another wonderful chapter – I love this Tina. She is so strong for the both of them and is saying all the right things. I hope you feel better.
I love this Tina….I’m sure there is going to be a little drama during this recovery. Hope you feel better soon. pps
Everybody seems to be sick these days! Hope you feel better soon; I hope you have a wonderful “Tina” to look after you…
take care, colds r a bummer, us humans r so fragile!!! love this chapter, tina rocks! post when u can.
oh I love this story !! Cant wait for an update…… PPS please ?!! ;o)
Sorry to hear you’re still under the weather. Hope you get to feeling much better soon! Thank you for updating the story eventhough you’re under the weather. Bette is so insecure right now, but it is so exciting to see how alpha Tina is right now. She’s the rock that Bette will need during the coming weeks of recovery. I predict Bette will lash out at every therapist they will have working with her, but it will be Tina who stands up to Bette and challenges her during her therapy. So realistic was Shane’s reaction to Bette’s appearance. Patiently waiting for the next update. Thanks again!!!
wow Bette is so out of her element of control. I am glad to see Tina take charge and be the strong one. Hope you feel better soon. thanks for the update.
So glad that Bette gets to see the real Tina. Tina is Bette roch always has been and Nette was to busy in her life to realize it. Shane is such a friend, they are few a far between. Hope you feel better soon. that stuff is hard to get rid of. thanks
Tina is being so compassionate towards Bette. That proves how much Tina loves Bette, not only is she there physically for Bette but also emotionally.
Hope you feel better real soon. I am glad Shane was there for B&T. Nice to see Tina taking care of Bette. Thank you
