Bette called Bob Van Drusen.  He agreed to give two hours of lessons to Angie and Daniel three days a week and to play 18 holes of golf two days a week. He would ask that his wife assist with the lessons since they were both rank beginners. He would teach golf swing techniques, how to select their clubs for play, the rules and etiquette of the game. They would be required to go to the driving range to practice occasionally. They would last from August 12^th thru August 23^rd. And the fee would be $100 per hour including play time. Plus, Bette would be responsible for all fees for all of them. The guarantee that they both would have a working knowledge of golf and how to play. Bette told Bob that Dan would miss one day at the end of the week of August 12^th but that Angie would be available. They agreed and Bette would sign an agreement via email.

This brought to Bette’s attention that there were literally three weeks left before they would go back to New York and make the move to New Haven and Los Angeles. As fast as they were moving and as much as they were accomplishing, it didn’t seem to be enough time. She called Bob back.  Would it be possible to have some afternoon lesson next week so that the two could purchase some clubs and equipment? Bob agreed to Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. Tuesday, he would measure and purchase the clubs and equipment for the two and Thursday they would have their first lessons.

Bette then thought, maybe she should go ahead and make an appointment for Friday or Saturday for Angie to take her driving test. She would check with Tina. Just as she was about to call Tina, her phone rang and it was Tina.

Bette: Hey Babe… I was just about to call you.

Tina:  Really, what’s up?

Bette:  The morning has gone well. Daniel is going to be a student here at Whittington. Just a matter of whether it’s the 5^th grade or the 6^th grade. I like what I see about the school so far. I think Daniel likes it too. Which brings me to we have only three weeks to complete everything we need to do.
