    Chapter 10 – Tuesday – Daniel’s Test and Marilyn’s Visit

    Angie:  Sure. Did you nap?

Tina:  Yes, I did.  I could have used another hour, but that wasn’t going to happened.

The phone rang. It was the doorman announcing the arrival of Helena, Dylan and Marilyn. Tina said to send them on up.

Angie:  They are on their way?

Tina nodded. The doorbell rang and Tina went to greet her guest.

Tina:  Marilyn, Helena and Dylan. Come on in.

She greeted each one of them and lead them to the living room.

Tina:  May I offer you some wine. I’m afraid we have no food in the house so there are no hor-d’oevres. But I do have wine.

Marilyn:  That would be lovely – white for me please.

Helena:  I would prefer a red

Dylan:  I would prefer a red as well.

Tina:  Angie would you like to assist me?

Angie:  I’d be glad to. Ladies, if you will excuse me.

They soon came in with wine for everyone and sat and started talking about Angie going to school and Bette and Tina and Daniel moving to Los Angeles.

Marilyn:  Angie are you excited about going off to college?

Angie:  Yes, I am excited but I am nervous at the same time. It’s going to be so different from my life at home. It’s exciting to think I’m going to be in charge of my life. But I’m nervous that I won’t have my moms to be my backup when things don’t go exactly as I want them to.

Tina:  Angie we will be as close as your phone.

Angie:  Mom, it’s hard to get a hug through a phone.

Marilyn laughed:  I am afraid that’s true. But I’m sure they can give you the right words to give renewed confidence and direction.

Angie:  Yes, they will.  But sometimes you just need a hug.

Helena:  You will make new friends and I am sure there will be someone who will be more than willing to give you a hug if you need it. You are going on a great adventure and you are going to discover what the world is all about. There are wonderful things out there and some not so wonderful. But you will manage. I know you will.

Angie:  And that is the exciting part.

    1. Thank you… another chapter coming soon.. Couple of days…

As to the growth? I always imagined that as time passed, Bette and Tina would grow more in tuned with each other. They would grow to accept the other for who they were and their idiosyncrasies would become less bothersome for that is what defines them. As they become more knowledgeable of their mate, and more accepting of who they are, the more at peace they would become with themselves and the life they had chosen.
