Bette rocked against Tina and Tina could feel Bette’s nipples poking her and Bette’s juices dampening her lower back as she pressed against her.
“Bette?”
Bette whispered to her, “We can have this in New York. When you get home and I get home, after Angelica and the baby are sleeping, with a glass of wine, and this music, we can have this.”
Tina liked the idea of it. She panted and sighed and groaned.
Bette spoke softly; so close to Tina’s ear, that it was both auditory and somatosensory. She was forced to pause as she spoke as she was panting furiously, too. “We’re in an apartment in Manhattan.” She hesitated, creating the fantasy in her own head. “No, a loft in SoHo. Uh…we hear… some street noise, but-but not much…We feel so alive and it’s all…fucking amazing. Twisted Forest is about to be distributed. Ummm…People are saying your name and award in the same sentence. It’s ours, Tee. Everything we’ve worked for and hoped for. Two little girls who are perfect and the rough time for us is so far in the past, that we barely remember it. We deserve this happiness. We have a good love and we work hard and we make love like this. Like this.”
Tina’s eyes closed as she envisaged that new life. She could see it—the art that decorated their home—works she knew like the Kiki Smiths and the Megan Friedmans, but newer pieces. In her mind’s eye, she saw the bamboo hardwood floors, the open space, the shiny top-of-the line appliances, and the bright colors that announced a happy home. She could see her two daughters sleeping in their room—Angelica in a twin bed and the new baby in a crib. Tina could feel the power of success in her life and the delight of domestic joy. She felt free and happy.
“This is how we make love. Always.” Bette’s finger moved faster and Tina panted loudly.
“Bette. Fuck, baby. Again. I’m there, again.” Tina jerked her head back, her mouth opened, as she grunted loudly.
She fell against Bette, but immediately turned on her side and reached up to kiss her.

Portia, thank you so much for this epic love story. I’m happy that all of the characters are happy and content. The loop holes that the show had created, you have thoroughly patched. That for me is remarkable. Jenny’s death in season 5 and her magazine being thrown in the pool – what can I say, your attention to detail is a gold standard in fanfic. Kudos to you and also Wendy for creating this wonderful story.

I read this chapter as slowly as I could so that I could savor every word of it. It was worth me taking the time, although I was fully aware that each time I clicked “Next page” I was that much closer to the finish. This was a fantastic end to such a richly layered story. Everyone got their ending, and each and every one of them earned it… the struggles each couple/family had to overcome to get to their happiness made it all the more believable. You didn’t cheat, Portia, not the readers, not the story. This has been such an absolute treat to read, through all the highs and lows, and I’ve loved every single word of it. (And kudos for not forgetting Jenny this chapter! heh) Thank you, Portia, for writing this story and taking us on the journey with you. Take care, and I hope we see another story from you soon.

well after about a month and a half im finally finish with your story and as I wrote you before I truly believe you are a gift to writing and taking readers along for the experience. I had to stop several times for work or sleep but it was well worth the time. I prolonged finishing the last chapter didn’t want t see it end, but like the L word, like tibette chemistry, all good things but come to end….Bravo!! my friend I hope to see a book with your name on it forreal..til next story………
