    Twist on B&T relationship: More L-Word characters are introduced

     

     

    After a quick shower and change the guys started to filter out making their way to class. Some of Dean’s teammates were walking out with him, most of them were good guys and few of them were good football players but not necessarily good guys.

     

     

    He couldn’t stand a few of them in particular they were the biggest reason Dean didn’t like to spend much time with his teammates. Some of them had a pretty low opinion of women and had a generally low opinion of anyone who was a little different. Trying to get them to change was like running head first into a wall so he resolved to be around if they were hassling anyone and made sure they didn’t step too far out of line. Being one of the hardest hitters on the team had some perks and being able to tell certain people to stop acting like jerks was a perk he took seriously.

     

     

    Dean broke away from the rest of the guys when he saw Shane across the courtyard. He weaved through some people saying hi to a few he knew before sneaking up behind her.

     

     

    “I can’t believe that Shane McCutchen made it to her first day of school on time and with ten minutes to spare.”

     

     

    Shane grinned and looked over at Dean. “Yeah well I thought I’d try being on time for awhile. I did promise your mom.” Shane was checking out Dean’s face. “It doesn’t look too bad…does it hurt?”

     

     

    “It doesn’t bother me anymore plus it’s not really noticeable. Mom made me put on her eye mask…” Shane chuckled and Dean smiled. “Laugh all you want I may have looked a little funny but it worked.”

     

     

    Shane grinned. “You miss your mom?”

     

     

    “If I say that I miss her you’re going to call me a mama’s boy but I will say that life’s definitely easier with her around.”

     

     

    Shane playfully shoved Dean. “You are a mama’s boy but your mom’s cool…shit I like her better then my parents and they bought me a car. Hey do you have Ms. Thomson for homeroom?”

     

     

    “Yeah…hey keep your eye out for a girl named Claire Porter she’s my new neighbor she just moved here from New York.”

    1. We need more. Its great how you brought all our favorite characters in to play, but most of them are teenagers. Dean will definitly be the defender, and will end up with Claire, cos even though no one knows it yet they’re mother’s are destined to be together. Can’t wait for them to meet.

    5. Loved all the new (old) characters of this story. I can’t wait for Dean to meet Bette or for that matter all the gang to meet Bette. Then “drum roll” for Bette and Tina to meet.

    7. this is great….Claire seems to fit in well…..so I have a feeling that the guy Jeremy is one of those that Dean does not like huh? Can’t wait for the moms to meet. I like that you have Harrison included in the group. I always thought he was humorous. he and Alice play off each other well. great job. PPS
