    The Long and Winding Road – chapter 6

     

     

    For Bette being so close to Tina was a dream she never wanted to wake from. Bette had always been able to lose herself in Tina’s eyes. However shitty her day had been – coming home, pulling her wife’s body close to her own and seeing the love in Tina’s eyes had always taken away most of the trivial crap.

     

     

    She had loved Tina then and she loved her still

     

    “We can’t Tina – you’ve got Henry. You made a decision to date men “

     

     

     

    “I thought it was what I wanted “

     

     

    “And is it ? “

     

     

    “I just want the hurting to stop – I don’t know what I want – I haven’t known in months – but I know now “

     

     

    “I did wrong Tina – you deserved better “

     

     

    “ I pushed you away “

    “No – I cheated on you “

     

     

     

    “You would never have looked at her if I had been there for you. You were going through twenty different types of agony Bette. You were there for me Bette — for almost eight years – through everything and when you needed me to live up to every vow that I had made to you I went missing. I was so bloody wrapped up in myself. It wasn’t all your fault Bette – I pushed you into in “

     

     

    Tina reluctantly eased away but stayed looking at Bette who rested her hand on Tina’s – which was still on Bette’s stomach.

     

     

    “You are in a relationship Tina “

     

     

    “What if I wasn’t ? “

     

    “We live thousands of miles apart “

     

     

    “Come home “

     

    “What ? “

     

    “Come home to LA “

     

    “Just like that ? “

     

     

    “Yeah – come back and we will start again “

     

     

    Bette rubbed Tina’s hand – this was a Tina that she recognised but didn’t in a lot of ways. Slowly she stood up.

    “I will never stop loving you Tina — not for one fraction of a second . But we have both moved on – we have changed in two years — new careers – new homes – we have only talked for 30 minutes — that’s all “

I can only dream and wish on a star or anything else that this would happen in season 4. I would love for it to happen on the first show of the season that way I can stare at Bette and Tina and not feel like I have to run and be sick. Who do I pray to for this to happen?

    23. Great job Ally. Apparently Henry isn’t as dumb as he looks, because he can admit to himself that he never truly had Tina. I love the point of view of this story with Tina chasing and romancing Bette to get her back. Way to flip the script Ally. Please continue :o)

    28. This story is delightful. Why is Bette being so reluctant? Does she have a sweetie or a potential one back in London? She has a good life in London and doesn’t want to give it up? Who knows if some other bloke will catch Tina’s eye? Can’t they just have mind-blowing sex and call it a day? LOL.
