    “We really should get back to the others “

     

     

    Bette said after she had stared at Tina for several minutes just re-acquainting herself with her lovely face.

     

    “8pm at your hotel ? “

     

    “Yes – and Tina – not a word to Alice “

     

     

    “I may have been acting like I have lost my marbles lately but I haven’t gone totally wacky “

     

     

     

    Tina and Bette finally broke the spell they felt they were in and went back to mingle with the others. After an hour Tina was talking to Kit – if any of the others had opinions about Tina’s behaviour none of them brought it up at the funeral. Tina was shocked at Kit’s pregnancy and had been questioning her about her health — she was very fond of the woman she regarded as her sister in law .

     

    All the time that Tina was chatting she was watching Bette for signs of tiredness becoming too much for her. Finally she had picked up enough clues to decided that the best place for Bette was being back at her hotel. She made her way through the crowd and lent into Bette to whisper.

    “Why don’t I drive you to your hotel Bette ? “

    Bette turned and smiled at Tina.

     

     

    “That would be great Tina “

     

    “Have you made arrangements to see the others ? “

     

    “Lunch tomorrow “

     

     

    “Okay – I will go and bring my car round “

     

    Tina slipped out quietly and in five minutes had pulled up outside the Planet. She got out of the

    car and grinned – Bette was going to get a kick out of this.

     

     

    Bette walked slowly out and laughed – music to Tina’s ears.

     

     

    “A Saab Tina ? “

     

    “I loved your car – I saw this about six months ago – Henry had just written off my Porche “

     

    “A Porche ? “

     

    “I got a huge pay bonus from my job – I went out and bought it on a whim – Henry went mad – called it a death trap “

    4. Gogo, Tina! I could never drive a gleaming white car. I’m too lazy to keep the exterior clean so it would always look like shit. I wonder if Henry is gone for good or would that be too easy? ;)

    14. Operation Porter has commenced. Let the pampering begin. Goodby Henry and don’t let the door hit you in the gluteus. I can only dream and wish on a star or anything else that this would happen in season 4. I would love for it to happen on the first show of the season that way I can stare at Bette and Tina and not feel like I have to run and be sick. Who do I pray to for this to happen?

    23. Great job Ally. Apparently Henry isn’t as dumb as he looks, because he can admit to himself that he never truly had Tina. I love the point of view of this story with Tina chasing and romancing Bette to get her back. Way to flip the script Ally. Please continue :o)

    28. This story is delightful. Why is Bette being so reluctant? Does she have a sweetie or a potential one back in London? She has a good life in London and doesn’t want to give it up? Who knows if some other bloke will catch Tina’s eye? Can’t they just have mind-blowing sex and call it a day? LOL.
