    “Yes Bette ? “

    “What ? Oh shit – are you alright ?”

    Tina mentally slapped herself – stupid idiot ! Slow down and don’t take any risks – watch out for maniacs – don’t let anything happen to either of us.

     

     

    Bette smiled to herself – she knew that Tina was nervous which contrasted with how assured she had been in The Planet when she had suggested that Bette move back to LA.

     

    Bette would love it to be possible but it wasn’t and she could not let herself daydream.

     

    Tina completed the journey to Bette’s hotel without anymore problems. She leapt out of the car and opened the passenger door for Bette who struggled a little bit but managed to get out with Tina’s help.

     

    Tina wanted to prolong every last second of being with Bette again so she walked her through the foyer of the hotel only stopping at the lift.

     

    “I think I can make it from here “

    They faced each other – Tina took hold of Bette’s hands.

     

     

    “You look so beautiful Bette “

    “You always looked beautiful Tina “

     

     

    “God its good to see you Bette “

     

     

    “You too – I will see you at 8 okay ? “

    “Thank you “

     

    Tina watched as Bette got into the elevator and did not move until the doors closed and her ex wife vanished.

     

     

    “I want you back Bette Porter “

    Bette reached her room and quickly undressed so she could cool down in the shower – she had got too used to London weather.

     

    As she was making her way to her bed for a lie down someone knocked at the door – she wondered if it was Tina. Bette knew what she would do to her if it was – ravish her senseless.

     

     

    A young man stood at the door carrying the hugest bunch of yellow roses that she had ever seen – and she had sent Tina hundreds of bunches over the years. She took the flowers and removed the card.

     

    I HAVE MISSED YOU FOR EVERYONE OF THE LAST 721 DAYS T x

     

     

    Oh God – she knew how many days it had been as well. She was just looking for a vase when some else knocked at the door – another young man this time carrying a gift basket containing bottles of bubble bath and massage oils – Bette took the card and read it

    Downstairs Tina was just walking out of the gift shop putting her gold credit card into her wallet and smiled to herself – this was Operation Porter – and she knew how to win her wife back.

    28. This story is delightful. Why is Bette being so reluctant? Does she have a sweetie or a potential one back in London? She has a good life in London and doesn’t want to give it up? Who knows if some other bloke will catch Tina’s eye? Can’t they just have mind-blowing sex and call it a day? LOL.
