    Alice met a mysterious person, and Shane recalled the scene she would remember for the rest of her life…………

    "Hey, Dane, guess who I saw at the garden just now? It’s Lara." No reaction from Dana.

    "She will leave for Paris tonight." Just as Alice finished talking, Bette and Shane walked in.

    "Hey" both said.

    "Hey" Alice tried to force a smile.

    "Hungry?" Shane took out a sandwich and passed it to Alice.

    "I don’t feel hungry, thanks."

    "Try to eat a bit, Al. Dana needs you to be strong beside her." Bette tried to convince Alice to eat.

    Alice nodded and took the sandwich from Shane and bite a small portion. The room was very silent as all three were filled with sorrows and pains for their friend. Shane couldn’t take this anymore. She excused herself to the bathroom. She made her way to the corridor and leaned against the wall before she collapsed and cried silently. Why are things so fucked up, she thought to herself. As she cried, she recalled the scene at the airport, a scene which she would remember for the rest of her life.


    Five and half months ago at LA airport


    "All the best Al, call us when you reached there." Bette said as she hugged Alice.

    Shane was reluctant to let her best friend go, but she knew Alice had make up her mind, therefore she relented.

     

    "Yeah, good luck Al, take care of yourself ok" Shane hugged Alice tightly. Tina patted Shane’s shoulder to comfort her.

    Looking far away from behind one of the pillars was Dana. She looked at the group of friends as they were hugging and saying goodbyes to Alice. Her heart ached as she couldn’t be there to join them, and it hurt her so much that she couldn’t see Alice face to face for one last time. But on the other hand,she was relief that her plan went well. At least she can find someone and be happy again,she thought. Time passed and Alice had to board the plane now. Dana saw Alice waved to the group before she walked in to the customs. Dana eyes were teary. She wanted to run to Alice now and said she was sorry and told her the truth. But she couldn’t be so selfish. She wanted Alice to forget about her and start all over again. She didn’t mind being the bad guy or had all her friends mad at her. As long as Alice is happy,it’s worth all the curses, yeah, she thought to herself.

    1. What an emotional chapter… Alice hearing about Dana wanting to protect her was difficult, but, I think it is good that she knows. Everything that happened at the airport was just heartbreaking. I hope that somehow Dana can find the will and strength to live so she and Alice can have a second chance. Sad story, but, you are doing a great job with it, uhhuh!!

    2. uhhuh, I am feeling much better now and I shall continue. I must have been in a bad spot and reacted sadly to your post. Excellent work. The plot is very convincing and like MaGoose said, “heartbreaking”. It was truly upsetting to read D watching A departing at the airport. It was even more distraught with the car park scene and I had total melt down when Lara revealed the truth. I felt very bad for D who had to live without the love of her life in her darkest days for 5+ months. I swear, if people just communicate better, things will not turn out to be so tragic. You also remind me to let those people I care about know often how much they mean to me. You never know what will happen next. Life is short. Thank you very much, uhhuh!!! Again, I beg you, have mercy on these two. They have suffered enough.
