Tina nodded gravely while fighting her desire to laugh – the Christmas Carol concerts were very important to all of her daughters.
“I was wondering “ Madison began
“Yes ?”
“I would like it if Paul and Bette and you and daddy were all there “
Tina nodded “Well your concert is in a small hall so only daddy and I might be able to go “
“Ahh “
“I am sorry but you are very lucky that you have four grown ups who love you and look after you “
“And Lara, Alice, Shane, Helena, Jodie and Dana”
“Yes – you are lucky to have all of those people in your life “
“I want Bette and Paul to see me sing “
Tina pulled Madison closer and hugged her
“Why don’t we have a little concert on Christmas Day and you can sing for everyone ?”
“Really ?”
“Yeah – I know Bette would love to hear you sing “
“If you and daddy are going to see us – who is going to see Josh and Dan with Bette ?”
“I don’t know “
Becky wandered in
“Dad and Paul’s car has just arrived “
“Is Hannah ready ?”
“Yes “
“Thank you sweetie – got everything you need ?”
“Yeah “
“Go and open the door for dad then “
Becky nodded and left the room. Tina sighed – she would need to talk to Ollie about Becky – she seemed so much more withdrawn since Ollie’s accidents – was she feeling guilty about being so hard on him? Tina vowed to ask Bette what she thought. Madison grabbed her boots and ran out of the room
“Put them on before you go outside “
“Yes mom “
Tina went to the window and looked out. Paul had climbed out of the car and was lifting the wheelchair out of the back. Ollie was opening the passenger side and had swung his legs round. Becky came down the path and greeted her father with a hug. A hug that several weeks ago Tina doubted that she would give him. Ollie seemed genuinely thrilled that things were improving between him and his oldest daughter – he hugged her back and they talked for a few minutes. Paul fixed the wheelchair into place and then he lifted Ollie up and they got him into his chair with very little fuss. Tina felt her eyes filling with tears – it was so unfair. Ollie -6ft plus, a great swimmer and runner – only 35 years old living his life in a wheelchair. She cried for a few minutes – Madison emerged in her boots and hugged her father – then Hannah came tearing out and jumped into the wheelchair and hugged him. All in all his daughters had taken the whole thing amazingly well – that had been down to the four of them sitting all six kids down and explaining everything to them and answering all the questions that they had. Tina thought that all of the kids had taken all the changes so well. Could she have ever believed that her daughters would be so cool about her being a lesbian ? That was because of Bette – they all loved her so much – she was every much their parent as Tina now was to three growing boys. Tina dried her eyes and headed downstairs. Hannah was telling her father all about putting the tree up and that Bette had made gingerbread. She was sitting on his knees hugging him tightly

Excellent chappy! As for another post, I wouldn’t mind an update on Something So Right too!
B and T are just made for each other both planning to propose, but looks like Bette is going to beat Tina to the punch and I bet she has already found the perfect house too. Gosh I don’t know which story to vote for, I think I will be happy with any one of them as long as we get a little bit of all of them over the next 16 days.
Snow shoveling is punishment? No Ally, it’s simply what you do in order to leave the house. We had many shovels when I was a kid, the theory being that many hands make light work. Unless the snow is wet, then it weighs a ton. Which is why I live in an apartment building. But I already have my boots on. The snow started a couple of hours ago and the forecasters (hedging their bets all the while) are calling for about 9 inches by early Monday morning. Well, they agree on white gold. Too bad they weren’t thinking of the same night. I was kind of hoping for simultaneous proposals.

I vote for another chapter of this story. Great update Ally as usual. I am really enjoying this story and it’s taking place at the right time of year. So it’s a race to see who proposes to who first….B & T at their best….you just gotta love it!

I do love this story and it was a great chapter. Both of them planning to propose and it looks as though Bette will get to propose first, Christmas Eve. How fitting, proposing during the season of love, happiness and all the warmth one can endure. Just Great. As for the next post, I always want this one but whatever you choose is fine, as long as it involves Bette, Tina and love I’m okay with whichever one you choose. PPS

i got upgraded on my committment ring from my woman fri night. when i gave her her ring i was working as a valet, didnt make much money. very inexpensive rings weve been wearing. she upgraded mine to a very beautiful white gold also. it was very nice night. thanks.
