Laid Up: Another Season 3 – Chapter 29B

The blues and whites of the painting shone on the closet door and on Bette’s body when she moved in front of the projector and hovered over Tina.  Almost instantly, Tina spread her legs, rubbed her upper leg against Bette’s warmth and felt that she was open and wet, too.  Bette’s eyes closed and she breathed out a long sigh that was equal amounts reassurance and pleasure.  Bette listened to Tina’s shallow breathing under her, heard the sound of the rain slapping against the pavement outside, and the bell-like tinkling it made when the rain made contact with the wrought-iron patio furniture.  The wind had picked up slightly and she heard the wind chimes clinking against each other, too.  The wind chimes were wooden and the sound they made was a hollow, haunting whistle as wind ran through the long, horizontal tubes, while the vertical chimes thudded rhythmically against each other.

Tina’s mouth was against Bette’s ear and she licked around the ridges, she traced her tongue along the valleys and curves of Bette’s ear, breathing hot air into the canal.  Bette moaned and sighed.  Tina sucked on Bette’s lobe and Bette groaned loudly as she pushed down and pressed against Tina’s leg.

"Bette?" Tina whispered.  "Tonight is romantic, isn’t it?"  Her eyes met Bette’s.

"Yeah.  Yeah, baby, it is," Bette answered softly next to Tina’s ear.

"But it can be more,” Tina hinted at something.

    Bette stared down at her.

Tina’s words came out soft from behind teeth that were already locked in desire—already, she was holding back some.  “I don’t wanna have to ask you for anything and I don’t want you to ask me,” Tina said.

Bette tilted her head to the side, giving Tina access to the full length of her neck as her expression questioned Tina’s desires. "You want quiet sex."

Tina swiped her tongue across Bette’s neck and then she was back at her ear, speaking low and slow, seductive and inviting, commanding and surrendering, "Just the opposite.  I want to hear you tell me everything your body’s feeling, what you’re thinking, what you’re going to do to me, how you like what I’m doing to you."

    1. ‘ she looked at Tina and playfully accused, “Cougar.” ‘ – LOL – Tina certainly has come a long way from the first pages of ‘Laid Up’. – PortiaO, Thank you very much for producing all those wonderful pages!

    2. OH MY FUCKING GOD… that was … i have no words… i wish it didn’t end… that a scene i pray we see in the last eppy… loved it… and what a book you have here… it took a while to read… but i did…

    3. Wow, I don’t know what to say. The detail you give to each character and storyline is breathtaking. What a beautiful imagination you have. I love your writing so much that I even wanted Helena’s and Dylan’s past life story to never end :). I’m a little bit nervous that someting will happen to Shay before Shane can take custody. Who’s the mystery man at Alice and Dana’s wedding? A long lost relative of Alice’s? Wow, Bette and Tina, effing hot. Thank you so much for the update. Don’t be gone too long :)

    4. Portia… translating “thank you” into all the known languages on this planet wouldn’t be enough at this point. I know I type it, and I certainly mean it, but it lacks… I don’t know anything else to say but that, though. So, again, thank you. You manage to get everything in there, and I don’t know why, but the “Sweatin to the 80’s” line made me giggle, a lot. You have a very visual style of writing, I’m right there with the characters. I see them, hear them perfectly. I love the way you write, I love this story. Thanks (again) for sharing with us.

    5. Yes, you’ve got me googling folks that don’t exist. You’ve created an entire world, fleshed it out and populated it with people whose lives are fully integrated into it. You’ve made TLW, “Do what it (should)do”.

    6. I have totally been floored by this story!! this last chapter totally knocked my socks off!!! I’m so glad Bette had the change of heart about mo…. this should be really interesting! PPS

    7. I miss this story. :( It’s so awesome and realistic. And it shows so much growth in the characters while staying true to them at the same time. And the storylines are just fantastic. *sigh* Yeah, I miss this story.
