Laid Up: Another Season 3 – Chapter 29B

Dylan caressed Helena’s cheek, ran her thumb up and down her neck, bent and kissed her like it was their first kiss—tentative, but necessary.  The next kiss built on the first, and the next built on top of that.  Helena sighed in Dylan’s mouth.  Dylan’s body moved slightly downward so that she could nibble on Helena’s neck.  Her tongue was out, swirling against the skin, pushing against the pulse point that throbbed with every move Dylan made on top of her.  Helena’s hands moved down, ran up the hill of Dylan’s ass, then down and back up.  She squeezed the flesh hard, trying to hold her in that spot forever.  Dylan’s neck arched back as pleasure filled her.

Was it her imagination?  Mixed with the heady scent of lovemaking, Dylan’s olfactory sense picked up coconuts, the sweet and pungent fragrance of flowers, the toasty, comforting smell of flour dry roasting near a small fire.

They were beside each other now.  Their fingers between the other’s legs and they pushed each other closer, while focused eyes fell deep into the other’s.

Breathing, grunting, groaning.  Eyes weeping ecstasy.  Dylan and Helena heard night birds outside that peeped and called to one another and inside their sighs and the sound of desire–warm, wet, open, being filled.

Panting, moaning.  Dylan’s fingers were a blur against Helena’s excited warmth.  Helena’s forefinger teased and touched and flicked over Dylan’s clitoris with earnest.

"Uh-uh-uh.  Ah."  Helena hissed. "Uh-sssssssss,’ she sucked in air.  "Uh. . . ." her voice quivered.  " Oh-oh," Helena grunted.

‘Oh, uh.  Uh," Dylan joined her.

Their bodies swayed forward and back, faster and faster, until they were both trembling together, soughing as one.  Building.  Holding on.  Holding on to each other; holding on to the liquid evening.  Coming together.

    _ _ _ _ _

Sometime later, Dylan awoke holding Helena in her arms.  "You’re a great storyteller.  Did you make it up on the spot?" she asked hoarsely.

Helena pulled herself from sleep and wrapped one arm around Dylan, extricated her other arm from under Dylan’s shoulders, then cradled it around Dylan’s head.  "I told you.  It was true.  When I was about eighteen or so I spent a spring holiday in Ankara, Turkey.  One weekend my two mates from boarding school and I took a jaunt to the upper Aegean and then from there to Pamukkale.  It looks like you’re traveling into snow, but they are just mountains and cliffs of water and calcium deposits that have hardened like giant, pearly white teeth."  Helena laughed.  "So Pamukkale has these natural hot springs in these pools cut right into the cliffs and plateaus.  There was this wizened, old woman who swam over to where I relaxed in the pool.  She was what you’d call ‘local color.’  The woman approached me completely naked.  Everyone else wore mandatory bathing suits, but there she was in just her flabby skin and bones with breasts that were like plump bananas that hung down to her navel.  Every part of her was wrinkled.  I remember wanting to see her out of the water, because I wanted to know if an old person’s pubic hair was grey."

    1. ‘ she looked at Tina and playfully accused, “Cougar.” ‘ – LOL – Tina certainly has come a long way from the first pages of ‘Laid Up’. – PortiaO, Thank you very much for producing all those wonderful pages!

    2. OH MY FUCKING GOD… that was … i have no words… i wish it didn’t end… that a scene i pray we see in the last eppy… loved it… and what a book you have here… it took a while to read… but i did…

    3. Wow, I don’t know what to say. The detail you give to each character and storyline is breathtaking. What a beautiful imagination you have. I love your writing so much that I even wanted Helena’s and Dylan’s past life story to never end :). I’m a little bit nervous that someting will happen to Shay before Shane can take custody. Who’s the mystery man at Alice and Dana’s wedding? A long lost relative of Alice’s? Wow, Bette and Tina, effing hot. Thank you so much for the update. Don’t be gone too long :)

    4. Portia… translating “thank you” into all the known languages on this planet wouldn’t be enough at this point. I know I type it, and I certainly mean it, but it lacks… I don’t know anything else to say but that, though. So, again, thank you. You manage to get everything in there, and I don’t know why, but the “Sweatin to the 80’s” line made me giggle, a lot. You have a very visual style of writing, I’m right there with the characters. I see them, hear them perfectly. I love the way you write, I love this story. Thanks (again) for sharing with us.

    5. Yes, you’ve got me googling folks that don’t exist. You’ve created an entire world, fleshed it out and populated it with people whose lives are fully integrated into it. You’ve made TLW, “Do what it (should)do”.

    6. I have totally been floored by this story!! this last chapter totally knocked my socks off!!! I’m so glad Bette had the change of heart about mo…. this should be really interesting! PPS

    7. I miss this story. :( It’s so awesome and realistic. And it shows so much growth in the characters while staying true to them at the same time. And the storylines are just fantastic. *sigh* Yeah, I miss this story.
