Laid Up: Another Season 3 – Chapter 29B

"What are you doing?"  Shane watched her.

"Making tamales.  What’s it look like, Shane?"  She rolled the joint, licked the paper to seal it, and then put the entire joint into her mouth, making an ‘O’ with her lips as she slowly removed it to double check the seal.  Carmen picked up Shane’s old lighter and bent her head in to light the cigarette dangling from her mouth.

"I thought you said no cigarettes in the bedroom."

    "No nicotine," she stated.

"Hmmph."  Shane watched her.  "You know this is gonna have to stop once he moves in.  We can’t be using drugs and smoking pot or have it in the house."

"I’ll put the weed in the lockbox with my gun."

Shane’s hip turned on the bed, her eyes were large, and she stared at Carmen.  "You have a gun?"

Carmen laughed, took a long toke, and then turned her body to hand it to her stressed out partner.  "Breathe deep, baby."

    11:10pm

Bette was in the bathroom and Tina in the bedroom.  Tina waited for the shower to go on, then quickly checked what needed to be done in the bedroom before stepping out and down the hall to the kitchen.  She uncorked the wine, got two glasses from the cupboard and poured the remainder of the wine into the glasses.  She glanced outside and saw that they had made it home before the beginning of an uncommon LA rainfall.  The rain that had been threatening all evening was beginning to come down harder.  The night couldn’t get much better.  She liked the rain, but Bette loved it, welcomed it, and was far more amorous in the midst of it.

She picked up the two glasses–one with no more than a few small sips of wine in it and the other a good size portion–and made her way toward the bathroom.

Tina pushed the bathroom door open with her hip and entered, putting the wine on the shelf while she removed her sheath dress.  She was facing away from the shower when she unfastened the garter belt and bent to slide the stockings down her legs.  As expected, she heard Bette open the shower door, so she lingered–bent over, taking her time about removing the stockings, stepping out of her sandals, and picking the expensive dress off the floor, letting Bette get a long look at her ass and her legs.

    1. ‘ she looked at Tina and playfully accused, “Cougar.” ‘ – LOL – Tina certainly has come a long way from the first pages of ‘Laid Up’. – PortiaO, Thank you very much for producing all those wonderful pages!

    2. OH MY FUCKING GOD… that was … i have no words… i wish it didn’t end… that a scene i pray we see in the last eppy… loved it… and what a book you have here… it took a while to read… but i did…

    3. Wow, I don’t know what to say. The detail you give to each character and storyline is breathtaking. What a beautiful imagination you have. I love your writing so much that I even wanted Helena’s and Dylan’s past life story to never end :). I’m a little bit nervous that someting will happen to Shay before Shane can take custody. Who’s the mystery man at Alice and Dana’s wedding? A long lost relative of Alice’s? Wow, Bette and Tina, effing hot. Thank you so much for the update. Don’t be gone too long :)

    4. Portia… translating “thank you” into all the known languages on this planet wouldn’t be enough at this point. I know I type it, and I certainly mean it, but it lacks… I don’t know anything else to say but that, though. So, again, thank you. You manage to get everything in there, and I don’t know why, but the “Sweatin to the 80’s” line made me giggle, a lot. You have a very visual style of writing, I’m right there with the characters. I see them, hear them perfectly. I love the way you write, I love this story. Thanks (again) for sharing with us.

    5. Yes, you’ve got me googling folks that don’t exist. You’ve created an entire world, fleshed it out and populated it with people whose lives are fully integrated into it. You’ve made TLW, “Do what it (should)do”.

    6. I have totally been floored by this story!! this last chapter totally knocked my socks off!!! I’m so glad Bette had the change of heart about mo…. this should be really interesting! PPS

    7. I miss this story. :( It’s so awesome and realistic. And it shows so much growth in the characters while staying true to them at the same time. And the storylines are just fantastic. *sigh* Yeah, I miss this story.
