Laid Up: Another Season 3 – Chapter 29B

    "I love LA."

Tina cocked her head to the side.  "What’s with rain?  Did you have your first orgasm in the rain or somethin’?"

"No-oh," she sang.  "Not at all.  I just like it."  She pulled Tina to her again, slid her hands up her torso, over her back, up to her shoulders, then brought her hands between them and up until she held Tina’s face in her hands.  Her tongue slid deep into Tina’s mouth while her fingers tangled and gripped Tina’s hair.  She heard Tina moan in her mouth.

"I’m getting out," Bette said when she stopped the long kiss.

"I’ll just be a minute."  This time it was Tina’s turn to watch.  Bette opened the door and stepped onto the floor gingerly, grabbing her towel from the rack.  "Baby, I brought you some wine.  I drank most of mine, but you’ve got one there."

Bette looked at the two glasses and smiled.  "Thirsty much?"

"It’s good; you were right."  Tina had tasted very little.  She was going to enjoy the rest of the night fully sober and getting her needs met the way she had dreamed.

Bette wrapped the towel around her body and stood at the sink flossing.  When the water went off in the shower, she turned on the faucets and rinsed out the sink and brushed her teeth.  Tina stood behind her and waited her turn while she patted her skin dry.  She smiled mischievously to herself and yanked on Bette’s towel.  "You’re dry enough."

"Not really dry at all," she tossed the comment at Tina as she bent to pick up her towel.   She wrapped it around her body again and walked out.

Five minutes later, Tina finished and flipped the bathroom light switch off as she left.  Across the hall, she saw that the bedroom was dark.  She walked the few feet to the other side of the hall and into their room.  Bette was standing in front of the window and had just started to light a few candles–candles that had seen a lot of use lately.  Holding the lit fire stick in her hand, she lit them, but stared out at the rain coming down around the patio and in the pool.  She squinted because she thought she saw some movement in the water, but once her eyes adjusted, she saw nothing.  It must have been the downpour making the water ripple, she thought.

    1. ‘ she looked at Tina and playfully accused, “Cougar.” ‘ – LOL – Tina certainly has come a long way from the first pages of ‘Laid Up’. – PortiaO, Thank you very much for producing all those wonderful pages!

    2. OH MY FUCKING GOD… that was … i have no words… i wish it didn’t end… that a scene i pray we see in the last eppy… loved it… and what a book you have here… it took a while to read… but i did…

    3. Wow, I don’t know what to say. The detail you give to each character and storyline is breathtaking. What a beautiful imagination you have. I love your writing so much that I even wanted Helena’s and Dylan’s past life story to never end :). I’m a little bit nervous that someting will happen to Shay before Shane can take custody. Who’s the mystery man at Alice and Dana’s wedding? A long lost relative of Alice’s? Wow, Bette and Tina, effing hot. Thank you so much for the update. Don’t be gone too long :)

    4. Portia… translating “thank you” into all the known languages on this planet wouldn’t be enough at this point. I know I type it, and I certainly mean it, but it lacks… I don’t know anything else to say but that, though. So, again, thank you. You manage to get everything in there, and I don’t know why, but the “Sweatin to the 80’s” line made me giggle, a lot. You have a very visual style of writing, I’m right there with the characters. I see them, hear them perfectly. I love the way you write, I love this story. Thanks (again) for sharing with us.

    5. Yes, you’ve got me googling folks that don’t exist. You’ve created an entire world, fleshed it out and populated it with people whose lives are fully integrated into it. You’ve made TLW, “Do what it (should)do”.

    6. I have totally been floored by this story!! this last chapter totally knocked my socks off!!! I’m so glad Bette had the change of heart about mo…. this should be really interesting! PPS

    7. I miss this story. :( It’s so awesome and realistic. And it shows so much growth in the characters while staying true to them at the same time. And the storylines are just fantastic. *sigh* Yeah, I miss this story.
